Put Justin Herbert under the same microscope you put Dak under

I 100% agree it’s a myth and I’ve never once in my entire time on this board have never said he didn’t do that.

Still no idea why you got upset with me talking about Justin Herbert in a Justin Herbert thread… maybe we could start an “I love Dak Prescott” thread instead of derailing this one?
You don't understand.

You can say Dak is better than Herbert all day, but unless you bow down and praise the ground Dak walks on and say he's GOAT level they're going to attack you.

Simply saying Dak is better than Herbert is not good enough for the mob. They have their pitchforks on the ready for talk like that.

It's sad and embarrassing as a Cowboys fan to watch them act like this.

Why would we do that?

We're fans of THIS team...not Herbert.

Here...have some rose colored glasses and poms! It's nothing to be ashamed of it's fun!

Yes. It's really not proper to bring up what I said, so you won't see too many analysts do it. You can only play the competition in front of you. Was Babe Ruth's 60 home runs just outside the dead ball era in 1927 better than Maris with 61? I think so. But is it proper to bring that up? Probably not.

I think baseball is way different, and it is proper to bring up what you said, I just don’t agree with it because the NFL doesn’t agree with it. No “career TD” guys have asterisks next to their names, and there is no “adjusted for era” formula as their really should be.

But as the game evolves, the NFL kinda ignores the stat inflation and it rubs off on its spectators, which I’ve let happen to me. You’re not wrong, but the league itself has created a rift there.

I gave Dak praise for the direct hit bullet pass that CeeDee dropped...and I got sheet for not praising his entire career.

But...that is really just one weirdo and a couple of his loyal subjects....so....not gonna make a huge blanket generalize about it.

The NFL is also harder to judge because it's not as individual as baseball. Does Emmitt Smith have the NFL rushing title if he was drafted by the Jets? LOL absolutely not!

Is Tom Brady even a top 100 player if he was? Take Tom Brady, remove 7 rings, reduce his overall stat line and he’s Philip Rivers.

First let me say I think Justin Herbert is a good young QB who should continue to learn and develop yet if you put him under the same microscope as Dak then it amazes me how Dak critics can be so high on Justin and acting like he is the 2nd coming of Tom Brady.

Fact is Herbert has never beaten a winning team his wins have been against the Jags, Jets, falcons, raiders, broncos and yes week 17 last year vs KC who did not play Mahomes or most of the starters and now he beat the Washington football team. Yet we are supposed to act as if Justin is some unbeatable QB? looks to be he has been beat many times himself and in Dallas would likely be mocked and attacked constantly

Cowboys did have their struggle on defense this past game vs Tampa and Brady a team who avg 30 points a game last season and won the SB to boot. Justin is not Brady and LA Chargers are not Tampa. Cowboys have a good chance of winning this game.
Well, if the Charger's win tomorrow, I guess it will not be against a winning team. But yes, you make a good point.

And a bigger microscope is Herbert is 1-0, Dak is 0-1. That is the one i stick with and the most important. Dak needs to get it going if he wants to keep up. Let's see who wins this one.

That is a very weak foundation to build an argument. One played the champions, the other played an average team.

Right. Where in baseball it might not matter as much. Even bad defenses are still good defenses in baseball. It's not going to ruin a pitcher. Pitchers don't get charged for unearned runs, quarterbacks get credited for dropped passes as incompletions.

I don't necessarily believe you're wrong when just looking at the stat line for Herbert VS Fouts. With the extra rushing TDs and 7 less picks it's debatable. And that may be what you were simply saying. Stat line. I was just implying Fouts had a better season considering the circumstances. So I'm really not in total disagreement with you.

Lol… the title of the thread is “put JH under the same microscope you put DP under” so comparing the two QBs seems to be the exact point of the thread.

Yes, I put him under that microscope that I put Dak under, which is the microscope I put all QBs under.

He is clearly not asking us to compare the 2, just to be as critical to Justin as we are to Dak.

It is definitely not “compare Herbert and Dak”, which is why I never did despite you claiming I did.

Your microscope seems biased lol
