I havent been impressed with Big Mikey thus far. I can’t tell he’s providing us an upgrade between the ears or on the sidelines yet.

He even sounds like a big dummy. Lol
Would you rather have a "big sounding dummy" who seems to have good gameplans ready for the specific team we are facing each week this year ....

Or a guy who sounds like a CEO who's teams were regularly looking like they were not ready to play the team they were facing in his 10 years as HC?

MM does not seem perfect, but he is an upgrade over JG.

I’d argue that is still left to be determined.

Thus far I’d also argue the evidence on these obvious coaching blunders would conclude he’s not been an upgrade .

I think JG had his fair share of coaching blunders. At least MM hasn't ever froze his OWN kicker before.

Not yet but I don’t recall so many mind blowing blunders in such a short span . Fortunately in this one the kicker bailed him out. Or it would be the #1 lynching in the sports world today.

Maybe because in 10 years, it's kind of hard to recall and separate the near weekly blunder JG would come up with.
In fact, if he DIDN'T make a blunder, then THAT was news.

Again, not saying MM is a great coach by any means, but he IS better than JG, and I don't know how you could even argue that even if you are absolutely pissed at MM right now.

I’m not arguing whether he’s a better HC. I certainly didn’t expect these kind or this many blunders. It’s difficult at this point to tell if it’s an upgrade.

who cares.
it worked.
we won.
remember it for next time.
move on.
I agree. I'm really shocked its talked about this much.....regardless of how he did it....it WORKED. He left no time on the clock and they won by a field goal. And I'm not a fan of McCarthy myself but that seems to really be a stretch.

If we had run another play it would have been a quick out for about 3 to 5 yards. Could have also been an interception, fumble, sack etc....just saying.
What the hell do you know, coach. ;)

Thus far it hasn't been. I don't care what anyone says. That's not pro Garrett or anti McCarthy. That's just being real. When I watch this team they do look better coached to me personally. But at the end of the day if we're basing it on results? Not much has changed and I'd argue McCarthy has a better coaching staff around him than Garrett did.

With the number of close games there are in the NFL, managing crucial in-game decisions and situations is the difference between being a playoff team and drafting early.

this is why every fan should be concerned with what we have seen thus far in MM's tenure.

No doubt. But a crash test dummy is an upgrade over the great pretender.

However, none of that absolves MM from understanding basic situational football.

Yes I will. Any coaching advantage we saw in GB was Aaron. You prob only watch Cowboy games
It's not just about the QB bro.. He had the team playing well enough overall to compete in many NFC championship games as well as winning a super bowl.. This isn't just about Arod, he can't do it alone... Thats okay, I understand how hurt we get as fans and sometimes find it hard to see the smoke through the trees.. Good luck.

I get it, he and/or his coaching staff screwed up with the rotation / ready to run a play on 3rd Down.

Yet despite that, he NAILED "the backup plan" so to speak.

If you want to hate the guy who sets your team up for a kick 32 out of 32 NFL teams would take in a close game like that, then hate away.
