You replied to me about not reading your post but i didn't comment to you or say your name in that post. You are taking it personal cause i called those folks a fool for bashing on Jaylon when he is solid and will be here next year.....

Ok you think he will be here in 2022 I don’t we shall see.

Weird. I actually thought Jaylon has had two solid games back to back now. Nothing great, and definitely think he'll be cut still after the season (cap hit) but I haven't had much to complain about from him the past two weeks.

I have to admit that when I saw the title of this thread, my brain immediately jumped to the mid-90's sci-fi TV show, Babylon 5. I was hoping to see some link between Jaylon and Babylon.

To be completely transparent, I've had a couple of adult beverages.

As an aside there's going to be a reboot with JMS coming back as showrunner.

But anyway not counting that 20+ yd run Jaylon played fine. I'm not sure why there was so much miscommunication going on during the Eagles' first td drive though.
As a team the defense is giving up too many big plays. The first looked to be on Diggs. One was on Canady. I don't know why this keeps happening but the DC needs to figure out why and fast.

The LB with the single digit uniform number I thought had a mediocre to less then thrilling game to be charitable . Shows up to the call after the chalk outline is on the sidewalk and takes a report .

For my $ kiss him and Jarwin goodbye after the season and go about your business with the 2022 draft with Will McClay and co. Take the cap hit move on.
He just keeps proving he’s the highest-paid terrible LB in the NFL. It’s painful, pathetic and provocative watching him.

Nope. We keep him for 2 million as opposed to cutting him and taking the hit. He can be a backup for that much.

Ok you keep him and his snap count falls off the cliff I just think it’s better for all concerned for a fresh start.

Other then Jaylon hitting a pile of tacklers after the play is stopped or having Eagles gain the edge on him plus Jarwin being an afterthought to Schultz then yes let both go bye bye next year and have some draft replacements .
Ok.....I guess many on the team would love to have to you in the Film Room "dismissing" or "protecting" them for whatever reason. Missed tackles, missed blocks, bad reads, or missed assignments are only for a few. All good.

You mean the 20 plus yard run that was right at Leighton when he got blew up and Jaylon tried to fill the hole....... that wasn't on Jaylon but on Leighton.

That's what I'm taking about that guys blame Jaylon when it's another player and Jaylon leaves his assignment to help but they see Jaylon and automatically blame him cause of dislike of player

Well the back started towards LVE's side then cut to Jaylon's side. I really don't see how you can claim that hole was LVE's responsibility.
edit: I will say that I don't see LVE nor Jaylon able to get off blocks like Parsons can.

Not a fan of Jaylon 9 or 54. I’ve seen him worse. Honestly, last 2 weeks, He’s hasn’t been terrible.

LVE though? He looks s-l-o-w. Plus, he absolutely checked up on a Hurts scramble in 3Q. Guessing he was worried about a penalty, but it looked really bad.

Well neither are better than Parsons and i wouldn't say that. Jaylon can and does get off blocks though and much better than Leighton.

That was Leighton, the back never cut on the opposite side of the center where Jaylon was. Jaylon came across the formation and was blocked but it was 100 percent on Leighton. My problem was some that dislike Jaylon immediately blamed him when he was Leighton responsibility.

I'm rewatching that play right now. TBH I don't know the gap numbers/letters and stuff like that but after the snap and the OL double team the dts, there's a large hole between the center and right guard. LVE tries to fill but gets blocked. The rb goes right between the right tackle and TE. Unless LVE is responsible for both gaps I don't see how that was his responsibility.

Also one thing I think hasn't been mentioned is that it looks like it was Jaylon that forced that Parson/Osa sack.

Wow, you really need to watch that tape again. LVE shot the gap the running back was headed to. He filled his hole of responsibility by taking on a block at the line of scrimmage. This forced the runner to turn back towards Jaylon’s gap who was unblocked and looked lost when he let the runner run right by him for a huge gain. This happened with 7:10 left in the 2nd quarter. I dare everyone to go back and look at that play and tell me Jaylon didn’t look awful on that play. Jaylon Smith is not a better linebacker than LVE. Jaylon sucks at reading plays and changing directions. Jaylon needs to be a situational pass rusher and come off the edge. He is exceptional when running straight ahead and I would like to see him used accordingly. I think Jaylon is a great athlete and the coaches need to figure out how to use him properly. What’s up with the LVE hate and the blind defense of Jaylon Smith?

What's funny about the Jaylon hate is that PFF has Jaylon graded out as our best linebacker. Graded higher than Neal and LVE.....but lets focus on Jaylon because he "swipes" lol.

He's too stupid to accept 2 million.
He'll expect a 6 year, 150 million extension... lol/smh
Then, he will be cut, from the Raiders by September, next year.
