Destroyed anything, but getting destroyed in the playoffs. Facts are Manning in pre-2004 was throwing at 62% and his best numbers were 33 TDs. And by then, they already had other rule changes. For example, 2002 it was illegal to hit a QB helmet to helmet. 1996 the 5 yard rule was enforced more stringently and hits with the helmet and to the head were flagged as personal fouls, meaning defenses had to let up more. In 1998, defensive players couldn’t even flinch to draw an offensive player off sides. 2001 the protecting the passer rules became even more enforced.

So other than your subjective claims, you don’t have any argument…

Show me anything Elway, Aikman, Marino did in their first six seasons that has you thinking they were better than Manning, show me.

Why all those pro bowls, all pro's for Manning? How about all those TD's?

Show me when the rules were the same? Your responses are completely irrelevant…

Let’s not even talk about the stickem gloves that WRs are now allowed to play with.. and the faster turfs. and the less intrusive uniforms for QBs, while Marino, Elway and Aikman were wearing those huge shoulder pads...

Dude, Peyton had six pre 2004 seasons where he put up numbers far superior to anything Elway/Aikman ever had, you don't see that, really?

i only spoke 2004 as far as Peyton CAREER is concerned. His numbers are clearly inflated by the 2004 rule changes.

I never said early 2000s was the same as the 90s and prior, thus my comments about rule changes such as 1996, such as the five yard enforcement rules..

Dude, there is no way in hell under any circumstances Elway/Aikman/Marino were better than Peyton Manning, That is crazy talk rookie.

yes they were… Facts are you can easily tell that QBs of this era were aided by the 2004 and onward rule changes. Even a great like Manning, arguably the greatest of the modern era, and Brady, who many consider the GOAT, benefitted greatly from it.. which demonstrates their stats are inflated by them…

Not sure about that. Let’s hope he gets the same success. He is enjoying a very good team around him now. Not taking anything away from Dak. He is playing well.

No they weren't that is why they had less pro bowls, less All Pros, less TD's, inferior everything.

You are wandering around in a fantasy world amigo.

Rookies, sheesh!

Funny.. if your going by passing yards Brady will pass brees this week. He is only 60 yards behind brees. I think peyton is #3.

Dak is ranked 122 but with a 300 yard game could be 119. Lol.

I remember when the haters narrative was Dak can’t pass for over a 200 yard average.
Look what is going on now.
Fun times.

Dude, you are way too sensitive. I'm a big Dak fan. He should have thrown the ball away in the end zone the other night.

You are so hell bent on attacking anti Dakkers that you also attack posters like me who really like Dak.

You need to settle down

Part of the reason he has the quickest release in the nfl is because kellen wants him to release the ball ASAP and part of the game plan against the bucs who take away the run was to utilize short quick passes in the place of the run game. It’s possible to say perhaps he holds onto the ball too longer sometimes while acknowledging how good he’s been and how quick his release has been.

it’s not hating to make an observation. Dak has been amazing but you can still mention things he needs to work on.

Marino in the mid 80s was the best QB talent/arm wise. His 84 season was heads and shoulders above the rest.

I disagree Manning is clearly better.

They can’t. They self identify with Dak and any less than stellar comment about Dakota is seen as a personal attack on them. They are impossible to honestly debate because they are Dak fans before being Cowboys fans. They start daily threads fluffing Rayne Dakota because of their own insecurities and agendas to be advanced. They suggest that any criticism of Rayne Dakota is not football related and is actually a deep seeded resentment of Dak as a person rather than a player.

Just like many people and groups these days with agendas, they lash out and feed on other people that actually like Dak,. It’s only gotten worse over the years and their frustration gets worse especially in light of the new bloated contract and the 1-2 playoff record.

There is a middle ground between haters and fanboys. Dak is in season 6 of his career and he's got 1 playoff win and .500 record as a QB. So what credit would you like conferred on him? Should the credit outweigh his actual accomplishments on the field?
Did you not listen to anything they said? They clearly said he went from a game manager and is evolving into one of the great quarterbacks in the league.

Y’all sit here and act like he hasn’t gotten better every year and hasn’t been playing with historically bad defenses.

The dude was on pace for almost 7000 yards last year and averaging close to 30 points a game and we were still losing every game. Please explain to me how that is on him and not the defense?

Stats in garbage time. He also averaged 4.7 YPC in the 4th quarter, down by 7, which clearly attests to this point. Acting as if 7000 yards and 30 points per game is sustainable over a course of a season, because of some “stats” over three games, by an elite QB, let alone Dak Prescott is laughable. 2019, Dak also started off 3-0, not garbage time, everybody was singing his praises and then he and this offense went in a complete tailspin.
