When I see Dak at the line, I see a guy who looks at the defense, identifies the blitzers, Identifies the coverage and adjust his audibles accordingly. This is what Moore and Dak has done. They've come up with a plan to attack what they see, and thus, the reason they send in two plays at a time.

They are in and out of the huddle super fast and sometimes a super fast hurry up, they are doing things that are New England or (the old Green Bay) like. Attacking weaknesses in the defense. Where I would like to see them get better at is A- Penalties, B- move the pocket or max-protection sometimes. Other than that, this offense is lethal thanks to Moore, Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott. The 3-headed monster.

Yes, they were. Manning couldn’t win until they changed the rules in 2004, otherwise he couldn’t get by the Patriots secondary. He also got choked in his record setting Denver offense by the LOB which were the prototypical aggressive, DBs that everybody said was getting away with contact that was typical of the 90s era.

WHAT?????????

Dude, Manning...

14 pro bowls
7 All Pro
6 100 or better passer ratings
65.3 comp%
539 td's
96.5 passer rating career

Trust me none of those you mentioned come close to that.

It goes like this...

Tom Brady
Joe Montana
Peyton Manning
Aaron Rodgers
Drew Brees

...

In fact 2003 saw it’s worst passing numbers in 12 years, at a whopping 200.45 yards per game. Even the NFL 2004 onwards basically admitted they needed to enforce the rules for PI and illegal contact more strictly, particularly in the playoffs.

So anybody that claims this era is the same as the previous eras are living completely delusionally.

And of course absolutely none of that addresses what I’m referring to, aka the post 2004 rule implementation. Manning couldn’t win Jack squat until than and in his record-setting career, when he faced the LOB, he got rocked.

Evan if you look at Brady’s career, his pre-2004 numbers are mediocre and the SB wins were a result of defense and primarily DB play, accompanied by the lax enforcement of illegal contact rules.

Dude, Peyton Manning is on a whole other level than John Elway and Troy Aikman, do you watch football? Marino was great but no Peyton Manning.

Again, Peyton Manning couldn’t win JACK SQUAT pre-2004 rules, meaning the closest similarity we have to the era of Aikman, Marino and Elway. Whether it was Manning or Brady, their stats were completely “mediocre” to what they were and are putting up now on this soft era.

Did you ever watch football and defense pre-2004? That’s the real question..

So you actually put Elway, Aikman and Marino above Peyton Manning, really?

Again, are you going to actually address the measurable pre-2004 rules era statistics that demonstrate without a doubt Manning wasn’t winning, was getting completely stifled in the playoffs and guys like Brady put up pretty mediocre statistical numbers?

All three of those guys would eat secondaries alive in this era…

You might wanna take a few minutes and actually bone up on what numbers Manning put up pre 2004,it's real obvious you didn't do that.

Try some reality, ok?

How many 4000 yard seasons how many TD's., look at that passer rating that comp %, come on guy, sheesh!

Then......check out those you mentioned, look at the difference.

Manning in 2004 threw 49 TDs. The year prior he thre a whopping 27. His best prior to that was 33. And he led the league that year in total TDs, 2004 even though they enforced the rules more, the playoffs were a different story, which led to major complaints. In fact, the Patriots I don’t think were called for a single penalty in the AFC conference championship though the refs later admitted they “missed” 6 penalties, including 2 on the last drive.

In 2001, Manning threw 26 TDs and 23 INTs.

Manning for his first four years was basically operating at Aikman completion percentage levels.

just stop with this generations were the same, athlete just evolved nonsense.. It’s not true.. On no planet whatsoever do the stats favor any argument for the latter generations “evolving”. It was rule changes…

Whoa, wanna compare what Elway did his first six seasons to Manning, how about Aikman, wanna do that?

Check out Elway, wow....no 4000 yard seasons. not even a 60 comp %. most TD 22, best passer rating a 83.................dude, hahaha!!!!

There is a middle ground between haters and fanboys. Dak is in season 6 of his career and he's got 1 playoff win and .500 record as a QB. So what credit would you like conferred on him? Should the credit outweigh his actual accomplishments on the field?

Is that how you felt about Romo? They pretty much have the same record in 5 years and 3 games as a full starter.

1 playoff win each.

Romo 43-27
DAk 44-28

And for the record, I supported Romo just like I support Dak because the hate they got and still get from the fanbase wasn't deserved.

Like do you even read properly? Like what part of rule changes do you not understand? I’m talking early 2000s compared to today, let alone 80s and 90s….

With a stacked roster, no Garrett calling plays, the best OL and rushing attack in football and a joke of a division. The Giants were winning SBs and the Eagles with Andy Reid winning divisions and had already started sucking before Dak got there.

Whoa, you said Elway, Aikman, Marino were all better than Peyton Manning then talked about pre 2004, ok guy,,.,,,,Manning had six pre 2004 seasons where he totally destroyed anything Elway and Aikman ever did.Marino fared better but still inferior.

You have no idea what you talking about.

Check out what Elway did his first six seasons vs what Manning did, come on,

You have no idea what you talking about.

Destroyed anything, but getting destroyed in the playoffs. Facts are Manning in pre-2004 was throwing at 62% and his best numbers were 33 TDs. And by then, they already had other rule changes. For example, 2002 it was illegal to hit a QB helmet to helmet. 1996 the 5 yard rule was enforced more stringently and hits with the helmet and to the head were flagged as personal fouls, meaning defenses had to let up more. In 1998, defensive players couldn’t even flinch to draw an offensive player off sides. 2001 the protecting the passer rules became even more enforced.

So other than your subjective claims, you don’t have any argument…

And on no planet whatsoever is Dak in anyway similar to Manning, who basically ran his OWN offense.

Dak in year 6, finally can call a run play when he sees cover 2 zone, with an OL and RG that can constantly net over 5 yards per carry up the middle everything when there is no man in the box, especially against a year 1 inexperience defensive coordinator and without their best pass rusher. Against Staley he had no such luck. And had WRs like Amari and Lamb that can win any matchup 1 on 1 when teams decide to go man, which is what often happens.
