How long has it been since the Cowboys have made a truly *ruthless* roster move - to reinforce (or establish in the first place) the fact that no one's job is guaranteed? Of course, this can cut either way, depending upon the relative locker-room popularity of the player on the wrong end of the axe. I’m so confused to why they did it now and not earlier. It has to be something in the locker room that happened.

NFL is a risk reward business. They were willing to take the risk of him possible getting injured until they felt comfortable there were equal or better options.
I'm sure Jaylon would still be here if Parsons and Neal or other LBs on the roster weren't playing well.
