I had pretty much the same reaction. I thought there might be a chance he would be released before the start of the regular season but kinda shocked it happened now. He does provide experienced depth in the event of injuries. I didn’t think he was playing that poorly and the media around Dallas thought he was playing pretty well. It’s even more surprising that it came when the defense is playing well and we’re winning. It would’ve made more sense if we were sitting here 1-3 and he had become a big liability.

No, you can assume that you were wrong about him being tradable. The rest of the league watches film too and nobody was paying him $7 million this year and $9 million next year. It's no more complicated than that.
