Well, so long to a feel good story that didn't feel so good at the end.
Did anyone notice Dak's comments on the post game sound bites?
Said basically that the D let them down in the fourth quarter.
Gotta wonder if that was aimed at someone.

Wow, was not expecting this.

Hard to tell how I feel about this. I am glad he is gone as he was blocking other players, wasn't very good, was overpaid, and wasn't getting better.

Felt bad for him when he got hurt in his last college game. I was upset when we drafted him in the 2nd round. I pulled for him in his rehad and respect him for putting in the work to get back and never giving up. That same attitude though is why I dislike him now though. It was great during rehab as he believed he could do it and wouldn't let anyone tell him no. However, now that attitude prevents him from seeing that there is still things he has to work on and believes is is the best when he clearly isn't. The swipes 7 yards down the field, filling the wrong gap, and the shying away from contact will not be missed. His enthusiasm will.

He actually has some decent plays this year, so he probably gets picked up, not sure that would have been the case at the end of last year.

Can I just say without starting a new thread that the internet has ruined football to me at times. I’m the 70s growing up I had no advantage of replays, game tape, Twitter etc. This is probably true through the 90s and a little beyond. Now we see EVERY single mistake over and over on Hi Res. I’m not saying Jaylon didn’t deserve to get cut. I’ve stated my disdain for his play. I guess my question is before this time would the magnification of certain peoples plays be out there and would people care if you had a W? I don’t think it would make a difference. Guys like Alvin Harper who live in a great timecapsule before would be a scrub on a message board. This is rambling I know and I’m glad Jaylon is out but I found it interesting that I probably wouldn’t have noticed the guy in the past if we were winning. And yes I have a buzz but if Ken Norton Jr was pushed around in the 90s and won
Would you hear a tree drop in the forest? Just riffing on the internet.

That’s what’s been disturbing. Physically LVE can do everything Jaylon can’t yet Jaylon was the one who they trusted to spy on Hurts.
Hurts is not not Kyler Murray or Lamar Jackson Runner more like a Dak runner, while smith sucks his speed and size can be be an influence against a young QB like hurts.

Holy ****, I'm starting to have renewed faith.

I want to say the same thing but this is the equivalent of setting fire to your own house and then wanting a pat on the back for putting it out. This front office not only spent a high 2nd rd pick on this bum, they extended him after one single fluke season with one year left on his rookie deal. The fact he was still on this roster this long was pathetic.

He’s not the runner they are but he’s still capable of beating you with his legs.

I’d argue this season he’s been worse than Jaylon. But maybe them being on the field together was hurting LVE…..

I have wanted to see what LVE could do when he wasn't having to wonder if he was going to have to cover for JS. I think this helps LVE.

LVE isn't getting cut this year. It saves nothing this year or next so it only hurts depth. Now, he might not be re-signed next year but that is a different story.

So why wouldn't we trade him?
Please don't say he was untradable.

Although we knew he was overrated, he was one of the league's top tacklers on paper.
I'd think we could get something.

Can we assume he was butthurt over losing time?
Nobody was going to take him at least with his contract, they tried in the offseason .
