Did you miss Cooper catching poorly thrown balls by Dak? I lost count how many times Cooper had to dive or go low for a ball that was not perfectly thrown. In fact if you read the game thread in the first half, people were literally saying "Dak is doing his best to give the game away"...that not what MVP do. Hell we may have lost the game if the entire Giants offense wasn't injure.

@jwooten15 here you go lol

actually it appeared to be off but it was placed exactly where it had to and sometimes wr must go get that when its put low and over then in fornt of DB..that was perfect thrown ball on that TD to Coop..watch it again..only place top out it to not have it batted down or picked off was low and at an angle..

he has few ugly throws and ints in this game that wasnt one of them.,.know your football then come with a real debate ..

Passing leader? MVP and Comeback player of the year?

The kid who can't throw is now the second highest rated passer in the NFL and is completing 74% of his passes despite his glaring accuracy issues.. What a lucky duck he must be.. Right now he sits behind Russell Wilson who obviously is gone for 6-8 weeks maybe more.. If Wilson doesn't come back he will fall off the qualifier list which means Dak has a realistic shot at the "passing title" this season. If the Cowboys finished with 13-14 wins he's definitely going to be in the MVP conversation and the Comeback player award is almost a given at this point..

AlI can say is .. wow!

Ronnie I think you are right. Yes, I am agreeing with you. Seriously, look at the remaining defenses on the Cowboys schedule. Who is gonna stop them? When I say them I mean Zeke and Pollard, but in that same breath I am including Dak and the receiving corps that this team has. It's a package deal and it is being used pretty wisely. I said it yesterday that he made some (some) good passes. He also made some poor ones that were still completions. One that went the other way. Overall it was a very good performance against a very bad defense, but still an NFL team. A win for our favorite team which I am happy for. I do think the QB 1 of our team is going to win the Triple Crown (as you put it). Let's hope he can win the Grand Slam by tacking on the Super Bowl MVP.

did NOT say he didnt have shot said the others are in better situation to win it..a shot isn't enough to win..i say ot will be out of those i mentioned daks in the mix sure but some pass heavy unbalanced offenses with tougher schedules will have the tie breakers. You brought up record so do i and ours is in weak division, weaker conference and weaker schedule , Daks losing the mvp in close race over that alone.. 15-2 ok lets stop that..

lol forst its mvp talk now oit predictions i say no way.. 13-4 maybe, man that weird to say , these 17 game splits just dont look right..

Herbert, allen, murray, and stfford plus the usual suspects mahoames and rogers we talking after 17 not 5 so lets be real that tough crowd and soem dont even bother running the ball..
LIke i said hes in the mix no doubt but win it very low % I say no..
You're missing my point. I'm not predicting what our record will be lol. I'm saying if the Cowboys have the best record in the NFL....Dak has a good shot of winning it simply because he's our QB and he has the best record. It will depend how other guys do but as of right now Dak is close in stats with Allen, Herbert and Kyler. I'd say Kyler for sure should be leading because his team is 5-0. The only reason I think his chances will diminish some is because he has to face the NFC West. Going to be some dog fights there and I don't think they sweep their division.

Let's remember in 2014....we ran the ball just as much as we threw the football. Romo and Demarco were in that race...maybe even cancelled each other out but Rodgers year was incredible.

Its a message board. And its in a week after we won. How many threads do you want about Jaylon Smith or how great Diggs is? Something new is refreshing....its funny though...you have no issue talking about what Diggs is doing after 5 games lol.

It would really be boring without the back and forth. Well, at least it would be boring for me. It would be intolerable if all of these posters decided to squeal and giggle like school girls while they sing Dak’s praises. It hasn’t gotten to that point yet, but the squeals and giggles are making some posters gag and become nauseous.
Squeals and gagging??? Sounds like a personal problem....lol

From your lips (fingers) to God's ears! In fact I think most of us would trade any of the other three for that last one.. Dak included. He started out shaky yesterday no doubt.. He proved he was human by allowing the whole "this is the team that your season ended against last year" to play games on his mind. Try as he might to bury that mess I think the media harping on it all week finally got to him cause as he said in the post game presser he started out in a bit of a funk mentally. I don't remember quite as many poor throws as you seem to have noticed but balls that get caught pretty much always go into my ledger as a good pass. Still I'm glad he made it through that first couple of series and got it together..

Why? Why can we not enjoy the ride along the way? Why should we refrain from reveling in watching our guys beat the hell out of opponent after opponent? I for one have no intention of just sitting down quietly until the end of the season! I'm going to celebrate my guys playing their butts off!! I don't know how to golf clap!

People keep posting this so I feel I need to clear up one thing.. The passing leader is not the one with the most yards.. It's the one with the highest passer rating. It's not all that celebrated and it doesn't measure anything but passing but it's generally accepted as a strong indicator of good QB play. Our ability to run the ball is only going to HELP Dak in this regard because it allows us to throw in more favorable situations against more favorable coverages.

Hey, Ronnie, I have a question for you. Every since you joined this forum you love to come across as the smartest guy in the room. So, my question for you. Would Dak have the same success if he played for this years Jets team? Or any other losing team this year? Dak is killing it with the Cowboy team, however, is he that great of a QB, or is it a product of the team he plays for?

no its not

its how the voting goes we have balanced offense in a weak conference and division with a weak schedule where as many of the others have pass heavy offense in tough division with tougher schedule..its facts man not opinions daks playing great but MVP over the other 4-5 options is larger hill to climb and unimportant in the grand scheme ..ill take the balanced offense that can lead to playoff run over the mvp..see lamar jackson.wasnt he one and done the MVP year..

lets enjoy him playing great and not have all these debates 5 games in..
Like I said you’re entitled to your opinion and I’m entitled to mine.

Well the post wasn't addressed to Dak.. LOL!.. We know he doesn't read this board.. Still he DOES care about shutting up doubters and naysayers.. Remember when Landon Collins said their plan was the stop Zeke and put the game in Dak's hands and Dak responded "Challenge accepted," then went out and lit the Giants on fire!!! Or how about when he told the mediots to "Keep doubting us..?" Dak has shown he hears some of that noise and uses it as fuel.
I'm not ready to speak for Dak or any other players, I'll let them speak for themselves. And I used to be the biggest argumentative person on this board, but I'm older now and have **** to do, so I'm not interested in getting into debates with anyone on this forum. I'll reiterate, based on his words, he's interested in titles. We're the ones interested in the other accolades, since and somehow it makes us feel like we've won it I guess. Carry on boys.

Another one who expects ONLY the Cowboys QB to be perfect.:facepalm::facepalm:

Because it annoys some of the people who think Dak sucks or used to say he sucks.

It reminds them of their grave error in judgement.
