Most likely losing Moore next year

Probably depends on the job openings next year too.

If I was Moore, I want a lot of money/assurances from teams like Miami/Jax. Some talent but a perennial tire fire. Raiders are better off, but not really

I’d agree with much here as far as naming Quinn but the bigger issue is are we probated to keep McCarthy if it means letting Moore go?

Remember Moore wasn’t McCarthy’s guy although he agreed to retaining him. And this isn’t McCarthys offense.
That's not known for sure and Moore wasn't retained, he was already released and taking the OC gig with the Huskies. McC brought him back.

He has franchise QB, a quality OL, 3 WR's capable of 1,000 yard seasons, two HB's capable of 1000 seasons, and Dalton.

He is good OC, but he has ALOT of help. Moore could be a quality HC, but I think its far from a lock

Questionable drafts but now Mayock has 51% control of the talent. I used to think Gruden was a little draft wacky when he was on ESPN but then he actually started drafting like he was on ESPN.

Do the Raiders have the trigger man?

Romo said it a couple times yesterday during the broadcast that there’s no way Moore doesn’t become a HC next year.

So, most of my close Cowboy friends here locally are not happy with McCarthy despite the success we’re having . We all are excited about Moore and agree with Romo that he will be highly sought after next year.

Hopefully we will name Moore our HC next year before someone else does.

NFL owners do not pick 33 year olds with less than 5 years of coaching experience as the head of their franchises.

I am not worried.

Unless there is a good opening (I don't see one) and this season doesn't fall into a black hole, why wouldn't Moore want to stay another two years here with this QB/weapons at a big salary? Jones would have to clear it with MM but pay the man 2yrs/$15m. Buy yourself a boat Kellen.

Who wants to coach Miami or Jax? Bleh.

I think there's a strategy Jerry could employ that would keep him here:
Pay him such a huge pile of money that he stays.

Cowboy favs are naive if they don’t think he will bolt.

He already tried to last year but did not get the Philly job. Luckily for us, we had a very down year and I don't think he was as sought after. No question he is on any team who needs a HC this offseason's radar.

This is Parcells/Payton all over again. Established vet coach in Mike and a young up and coming OC. Who do you keep? McVey was the Skins' OC as well when Cousins was there when they made the playoffs in 2015. He went to the Rams and calls plays.

I've seen enough of Mike and is inept clock management issues. Which are huge in the NFL since most of these games comes down the final minutes and a few plays can shift the game. He absolutely has no idea or rhyme or reason how to manage the clock. And no rhyme or reason when he does and doesn't go for it.

If the season continues as it has, we will probably lose both Quinn and Moore. ..... I think both are more valuable than MM.

If you want to believe Moore staying here was more about McCarthy than Jethro, go right ahead.

This year is different. Moore could possibly be the hottest HC prospect next year. That’s what Romo said anyway in so many words.

I think they should just overpay him and let him continue what he’s doing. I’m not sure if he can get a squad of coaches behind him like big Mike did

Tony says a lot of things. Actually more than Michael Irvin sometimes

Because you don’t know how long you’ll be a hot prospect.

Most coaches ambition is to become a HC.

So, you don’t agree with Romo?

You don’t think it will be tough to keep him? Or you don’t think he’ll be one a hot commodity?

I think it would be a mistake to let him go. But I also think it would be a mistake to make him a head coach next season. I’m not even sure he thinks he’s ready. I’m not even sure why everybody’s talking about it. It’s like can we get to the playoffs before someone hired him.

If this season continues going well and we make the playoffs McCarthy isn’t going anywhere. Moore is as good as gone after this season. There’s no assurances that he will make a good head coach. Not all successful coordinators make good head coaches. There’s plenty of examples of that.
