“Mobile” QBs are typically seen as not being as good as pocket passers. Lamar has the 3rd most passing touchdowns since he came in the league and people say he can’t even throw still!

Yeah I get the mobile QB thing but the ball doesn't know if it's being thrown by me or Justin Herbert.. If it spins and hits the target then it was well thrown. So the fact that the ball is hitting the mark 99% of the time when Dak throws it tells me he's throwing the hell out of it. It also bears noting that maybe the two best passers we've ever seen, Rodgers and Mahomes are seriously mobile and athletic.. So were great passers of the previous generation like Steve Young and John Elway.. These idiotic narratives that won't die are tiresome as hell.

No, better to call out 'many' by using terms like they and them so as to lump numerous into the insult, right?

"Let them carry on and continue to essentially make fools of themselves. At this point, if they haven’t acknowledged Dak, they never will."[/QUOTE]
Please continue. It’s fun.

Did I say he is driving the bus? No. I said he is playing better than anyone expected while also applauding the play of the defense and the fact that the offense has become more balanced.
"Dak is playing better than anyone expected"

No, many on here debate constantly how good Dak is. It's the guys we call haters that keep saying her isn't good. But instead of admitting you guys were wrong the goal post is moved to........ Dak is playing better than anyone expected...... Haha sure thing skippy....... maybe i shouldn't write that cause now you will play the victim and complain to mods, while you do the same thing you are complaining about.

Oddly enough Dak's 'accuracy' % of his passes this season is listed as 79%, which is only slightly up from 77.6% in 2019 and 77.1% in 2020. I honestly would have thought it would have been higher based on his Comp % being up over 5% from his career best (68% in 2020). While drops have decreased from 13 in 2020 (based on 5 games) to 5 in 2021 (based on 6 games), Dak's Bad Throw % has dropped from 15.1% in 2020 to 12.4% in 2021 all while seeing his YPA at 8.4 which is the same as it was in 2020 (career best average).

Given Dak's rushed are only slightly up compared to 2020 (18 attempts in 5 games versus 22 attempts in 6 games), Dak is facing less pressure as his pressure % in 2021 is 15.5% (compared to 21.7% in 2020) so while his injury last season was devestating it might have actually aided in his advancement by way of his passing game being much more precise.

I do not think Dak is a 'her' but regardless, my statement Dak is playing better than anyone expected is simply based on the fact he came off a very bad ankle injury and nobody knew how he was going to play. Combine that with the fact Dallas just had one of their worst defensive performances in organizational history and there is nothing wrong with the statement unless people want to find something wrong with it.

Man this is good stuff.. Let's do more of this and less of the sticks and stones bidness.. I think what it says is that Dak has been droppin dimes at this level for the last three seasons. Which if I'm not mistaken a lot of people have been saying. He's only slightly better numerically but the results are spectacular. I think the main difference is the consistency. You just see game after game that dude is locked in. Yeah there was a series or two against the Chargers and the early going against the Giants where he looked out of sorts.. But by and large, the man is just throwing the hell outta the ball.. But beyond the physical performance.. the mental part of his game is just off the charts good right now. I think the main reason he is seeing less pressure is how bad he is burning it. Every time I have seen those graphics they put up he's been either #1 or #2 in the league against the blitz. Blitz him and leave our outside guys one on one and you are in doo deep deep..

Yes, to counter those that cherry pick records and stats. The simple fact is all I am doing is offering stats just like anyone else.
You are offering cherry picked stats. So no its not like anyone else. Everyone else uses his ENTIRE body of work. You eliminate a year when he won Rookie of the Year and won 13 games lol. Its not even close to the same thing. Its apples to bowling balls.

Many of us expected him to play this well.

He certainly is playing at another level this season and while the whole change the starting center thing due to snaps has been talked out, there are moments where there seems to be something going on with focus or something involving the red zone fumbles.
If that can be cleaned up (albeit nobody is perfect), and the defense continues to improve this could be an interesting season.

I aint gonna lie.. I thought Dak would get here eventually but I fully expected him to take a minute to get going coming off the long layoff and the limited training camp action. I just thought the speed of the game was going to challenge him for at least the first quarter to half of the opener. Boy was I wrong..

Given the play the last 6 weeks, I wonder how the 2 weeks off will impact the team (hopefully Kazee's bad decision isn't a sign of the times). The worse thing Dallas can do is get lost in the 5-1 record and lose the week to week focus they have going on.
I also wonder how the return of certain players (ex. Collins, DLaw, Gallup, etc.) will impact the overall chemistry and play of others that have stepped up in their absence.

Well you said everybody...... that's not a true statement. Sure, you and others have continued to doubt him but others have not. Even after the ankle, shoulder and no preseason others were still saying he was a top 5 QB, which makes your statement that Dak is playing better than everybody expected.

I will help you write the correct statement.......

Dak is playing better than his haters thought he would.

I have to trust Dak and the other leaders on this squad to keep guys focused on "the brotherhood" as he calls it. I also have to trust that these coaches will jettison anybody that threatens to upset that. I think dropping Jaylon Smith, knowing how the guy in the owner's box feels about him, illustrates that these guys will do what it takes to keep this train on the tracks and not let one selfish arse derail it. None of the guys coming back strike me as the sort who would be a problem. DLaw has been a good soldier about rotating his entire career. Gallup runs more go routes than anybody in the league not named Desean Jackson so he aint gonna complain about getting a lot of blows either. The only one that might be a bit dicey is gonna be Collins.. But the coaching staff knows how much they have been having to help Steele versus what they would have to do with Collins. If the help percentage has been above whatever threshold they have set then you re-insert Collins and don't look back. Maybe you rotate Steele in under the guise of getting Collins back up to speed. We have not even talked about Hill and Gallimore.. but frankly neither of them has any station to be demanding playing time either. They will need to bring it in practice just to get a jersey on Sunday.
