A lot of board people. The man is going to play and he’s going to play the same way he has been. Haven’t you ever had a calf strain. You might think he tore it or something

A lot worried. His strained calf is a minor injury that can be made worse if he doesn't allow it to heal properly. The team's stated goal of getting him ready to play against the Vikings seems like a bad idea to me. I fear Dak will only make his injury worse and thus miss even more games. I think the proper course of action, out of an abundance of caution is to sit Dak out of the next two games.
Thanks Dr. Joe.

For his 1st 4 years, he never missed a game. He was a tank. But starting last year, he missed most the year. Needed 2 surgeries on his ankle. Then gets a new injury in his shoulder in the offseason. And now a calf strain. I am not going to start comparing him to Romo at all but I hope we don't see these injuries start to pop up every year and we get to what Romo became where it was always something every season. This is what separated him from Romo.

the shoulder injury was from him all year throwing with out that plant foot and putting more power with his arm. it just needed rest.

the calf is worrisome, if it’s lower calf near the bone break and damage it might be a thing. if it’s upper calf it could just be nothing. only time and rest can heal both. lucky we have 2 weeks and are getting back LC so hopefully that means less running for dak.

I think the acumen of the Cowboys medical staff will supplant the forum's collective medical expertise.

Who is saying he is healthy enough to play? I notice you said, "if". That little word changes everything. He may even believe he can play but with a healing calf strain that can change in a heartbeat. We have a 3 game lead on the WFT and we play them twice so we can afford to let Dak rest two games. You are talking nonsense if you think anyone else in this division is a threat to this team. We need Dak healthy going into the playoffs so he needs to let this stained calf heal properly. You just sound like a scared chicken.

You have memory issues Joey . The WFT dominated Dallas twice last yr in fact Thanksgiving Mike’s fake punt on our own 20 is highlight reel film on America’s funniest home videos.

Sit Dak “ out of caution “ and 5-3 looks like another race to the bottom to see who wins the East . If the mans healthy he plays case closed . If not Cooper Rush will be Ron Rivera’s best friend.

I agree so I'm sure you'll understand when Dak is forced to sit out a couple of weeks. ;)

You are so traumatized by 2020. It must really suck to live in fear as you do.

He broke his ankle
It’s not like his body is just wore out
It’s the nfl
Players are injured in every single game
As long as the back and neck hold up it’s generally just one off injuries

Not really, injuries happen and not much anyone can do about it. Outside of the ankle injuries the others have been typical bumps and bruises that are going to happen in the NFL no matter what QB you are talking about.

I hope the bye week provides the rest and recuperation that Dak needs. He seemed confident that would be the case. Let's hope he's right.

I also think we will get a clearer picture as the team returns to practice next week. We have people talking about his sitting without knowing the degree of the strain Dak is dealing with. MRI came back negative and Dak seems to have no concerns over it and no doubt the medical staff will continue to treat him. Without having the full information there is no way anyone here can give a prognosis of this injury

Yes he's a tank. Besides that one ankle injury he's still solid. Everyone has minor issues. His shoulder and calf are minor blips every player gets now and then. Nothing remotely close to serious. A flesh wound. Minor bruises.

Freak injury
Minor shoulder strain from not throwing. Laughable
Calf strain seems to he minor from the last thing we heard

Outside his freak injury he's been protected behind one of the best olines in football his entire career. He's been pampered basically which is a good thing to wich all quarterbacks dream of lol

This doesn't sound like a guy who's too concerned. I won't be shocked if he plays through the discomfort, even if there is some. ;)

If that's not enough, Dak's got some of the best Docs, trainers and medical staff in the entire NFL. I'm betting they'll serve him well.

Your the fear merchant . My goodness “ we should hide him out of caution “ ahhh hide him lol
Enough! I trust the trainers and medical staff to make the right decision on this. It's immature to argue about something we have no control over. I've made my opinion known. Now we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Nope.

Ankle break was a freak major Injury

Shoulder was a nothing burger ...he's been perfect

Calf strain was minimal and he could have played through.

Injuries happen in football....he's tough and will be great

Russell Wilson was probably the most durable active QB for many years, but a finger will cost him to likely miss several games.
Injuries happen ...will happen.

The best thing for us to do is prepare is have an adequate, functional backup reserve, .in the event our starting QB does strain a calf serious enough to
cause him to miss several games .. or an a concussion, ..or strained shoulder that could put him out a couple or three games.

Could we survive with a mere Cooper Rush for 3 games,..if that so happens ?
