Of course. That wasn't my point. And you know it.

But that was my point. The main point I have made here is that what Kazee did was stupid and selfish. I never screamed he should be cut like others have said. I just said what he did was stupid and selfish.

I even said he likely won't even face any punishment until next season so it likely doesn't have much of an effect on this current season.

So what exactly do you disagree with here to the point you have to play your silly game of calling out posters?

My post stands for itself. Easy to understand.

That's why I used the word "if". That being said, he apparently failed a field sobriety test which is why he got arrested in the first place so while we don't know for sure, there is at least some basis to believe he may have been too drunk to drive.

I don't put a lot of stock in that.. I suspect half the population would fail that test at 3 am even if they hadn't even sniffed any alcohol. The alphabet backwards? Hell-to-toe walk? Think about it.. The Cowboys probably got back from New England late Sunday night... After getting some shuteye.. guys went in for Monday lifting at 7-8 am. Kazee went home, showered, and probably went hanging out for the rest of the day.. Dude probably hadn't closed his eyes in 20 hours by the time he was pulled over. Drunk or not, it was going to be a challenge for him to execute all the things they asked him to do on the side of the road. None of which should be interpreted to mean he should not get what's coming to him in the way of punishment. I'm just cynical about how cops handle this sort of thing. I think they saw him leave a bar, followed him, waited for any excuse to pull him over, then used any excuse to arrest him. I don't know any of that to be fact, but I've seen it done more than once when leaving the club in my clubbing days. I've even had it done to me.. and I always laughed because like I said.. I don't drink.. But the cops would follow me for a few blocks as I drove away from the club then flip on the lights.. then when they realized I wasn't drunk come with some cock and bull excuse about "you fit the description of..." for pulling me over. I knew what the reason was.. They saw me leave a club and thought I was drunk..

This is all fine and dandy but to say we have no indication he was drunk is just not true. There is at least a small indication that he was drunk - he failed a field sobriety test to the point he was arrested. You may not want to believe it but to say there is no indication he may have been intoxicated is just not a true statement.

As this works its way through the legal system, we will probably learn more and get more information on whether he was drunk or not. It wouldn't surprise me if his BAC gets leaked at some point in the next few weeks.

Are we this sensitive that we can't simply call this for what it is? Forget about the "what ifs" or your knowledge on alcoholics or all the excuses pouring out.

It's simple. Kazee celebrated a great win before a bye week and choice to drive. The officers who are experts and aware found him to be under the influence. This is AFTER he failed to signal. Then, he failed sobriety tests. You can't cheat that. It's not out, but he was breathalyzed and arrested. Simple.
It doesn't mean he's a bad person or violet criminal.
He doesn't deserved the chair.
It was his first offense.

But what it does mean, especially when you consider the resources available, is that it was a stupid decision. Period.

The police report I heard about said he had a heavy smell of alcohol on him also. I'll see if I can find a link.

He also told the police he consumed alcohol.
That is true but it could fall under either side of the argument:
1. Sharing information you might not normally share could be an indication of high BAC/Blackout or
2. An indication he didn't think he was drunk.

And probably other explanations in between.

FWIW, I wasn't sharing the information I did to make an excuse for Kazee; I don't even know if he is an alcoholic. I share it with others when the opportunity presents itself so people might better understand alcoholism and either get help for themselves or a family member/friend.

Having been a LEO in the military, I can tell you that FST's are subjective to an officer's discretion. That said, Kazee's statement that he did drink prior to driving simply added to the suspicion of DUI which is why taking the 5th and not answering questions is imperative. Regarding the breathalyzer/blood draw BAC tests, I have yet to see anything confirming one was taken and if so, the results.

So, as of today all that is available are those basic facts and the court of public opinion.

They wouldn't have not breathalyzed him if he was arrested and detained, that's all I know. The good news is he complied, so it most likely will go as best it can.

I love my cowboy fans, a good topic to bring up.

A long time ago I was out at night drinking and driving, looking for a bar to go have fun.

I started to make a left turn and in my headlights was a motorcycle! We both hit our brakes at the same time and bumped into each other. We pulled into an empty parking lot and I got out of my Jeep and he yelled at me, "You could have killed me"! I said I know, are you alright? He repeated that I did almost kill him on his motorcycle. I was scare as hell, because I was drunk but I told him lets call the police, even though I was the one that knew I was in the wrong. He told me, "Just get the hell out of here!" I said, OK.

Never again...
