Between this game and the incompletion between Miles and Romo vs the Giants at home in 2011

Romo banged up his thumb in the Eagle game in December. He hit it on a helmet. He wasn't the same for the rest of the season. Couple that with TOs high ankle sprain, and the passing game was not operating at full strength.
He must have used his non throwing hand for his drinks in Mexico. That’s just 2007. What’s his excuse for every other December? Lol

The game was too big for Romo. The way that game ended was just brutal. He chucked the football into three defenders in the end zone.

Come to think of it, there were a lot of games that were too big for free agent Romo. I was always under the impression that Tony tried too hard as he wasn’t drafted and wanted to prove he belonged.
Idiotic statement. (Not you…..the statement)

Romo threw a perfect TD pass to Crayton for-the game-winner the play before that.
Go look at it.
That 4th down with no time left should’ve never even occurred

Add a TD and win,
subtract end of game, time gone, 4th down, no choice int.
Plus there were multiple drops that day…at least 4.

Romo didnt play great but he played way better some think or what the stats said that day.

You mean the best December in Dallas Cowboys history in 2014?
4-0 averaging 41 points per game?

It took until 2014 for him to finally have a good December. It appeared he had finally gotten over the December hump but unfortunately injuries caught up with him after that season.

This game is right up there with the 1994 loss to the 49ers for me. Both games aggregated the hell out of me. That 07 team should have went to the super bowl.

That’s 1 December. I’m talking about 2007 onwards prior to 2014.
We had our hearts broken so many times the past 20 years, many of us have selective memories.
I get it, but the narratives were not what folks made them out to be

2009 December
Romo 9TDs, 2 ints, 105 rating
Dallas won last 3 games of-the year(so crunch time) to pass Philly for the division title
And beat Philly for home field advantage in week 17

This game is the reason some of us need to be convinced this year will be different.

You’re in denial.

On one hand you make excuses for Romo, on the other admitting he didn’t play great. You admit that his stats were underwhelming in a round about way.

But the 4th down with no time left did occur, and Romo didn’t rise to the occasion. It was NOT a no choice interception. Romo chose where to throw the ball. Saying it was a no choice interception is like saying the rules forbade him not to throw an interception. In fact calling it a no choice interception is not defending Romo, it’s actually making the argument that the bright lights were to big for him; if he’s supposed to be the field general that makes decisions where to throw the ball.

Maybe if Romo doesn’t go to Cabo, him and Crayton are more in sync.

A hail mary is a hail mary….whether its from 20 yards out or 50.
No time keft, no timeouts….you have to throw to the endzone

Pretty much everything you said was off.

And then topping it with the Cabo stuff

Well, you win. No arguing with that in-depth football take.

You gotta watch the game again brotha. Drops and pressure.
Romo played very good minus a couple of bad throws? lol He completed 50% of his passes which was way down from his season average and one of his bad throws was picked in the endzone to end our chances. Don’t know why any Cowboys fan would want to relive this game. It was one of the most disappointing losses in franchise history.

You dont recall the game either. TO was open for 4 tds lol. His ankle was fine. But I thought he was hampered too until I watched again.

This is the wrong game you posted. This was from opening night that year not the divisional round playoff game.

This game was thankfully not that divisional loss game - this is probably the 1st regular season game, That divisional game was lost due to our OL ran out of gas in the 2nd half and Crayton. ( Dumb idiot ) Also the Defense , especially reeves.

Too bad this wasn’t the divisional round game.
