Still does not make sense. The money comes from management; shouldn't they be aware of how much said player should receive? Just like us, there is a certain amount of money available. If an individual decides to spend the bulk of their finance on wine, women, and songs; if they now, cannot pay their bills, you cannot blame the wine, the women, or the songs. If Dak, doesn't get it, someone else will.

That right there is what is so frustrating. Recognizing bad business, bad contracts, some how makes you a hater?
I dont hate Dak,, I probably really dislike Jaylon, and disappointed with EE a bit,, wish we had neither on the team,, take those contracts back,,, just horrible business.
Even Gregory... jees so many bad contracts its hard to keep track, and now we want to hand out another horrible cap killing talent preventing contract?
Just a couple of bad deals and it makes the process of building a legit roster difficult, you keep doing it over and over you are nothing more than mediocre,, so congrats to the fans that
want to be just mediocre, if you get your wish and Jerry is stupid enough to make yet another monumental error, than you can all celebrate being 8-8,, I call that being losers.

Jerry has never failed sign s player that he really wanted to sign which is very telling in Dak’s situation. Dak-lovers can deny this all they want to, but something is not adding up. Jerry has doubts about Dak or the money, probably both. There is definitely more doubt behind the scenes than the public is aware of.

Several someone else’s will get the money. That is the point. Spending so much of the salary cap on one player is not good management. You can take a quick look at all of the QBs that was drafted during the draft with Dak. Everyone of those QBs that was signed to big deals have resulted in massive failures for the teams that paid them. Those teams are trading those high priced QBs even though it is a great loss for the team financially and a waste of draft resources. Dak fans are begging for Jerry to make the same mistake instead of putting the team above their man-crush.

This was back in Feb. Dallas made no mistake signing Dak. You may not like it but any team expecting to keep a top QB on their team will pay up or you can spend the next few years looking to find a QB. Cowboys went though that when Danny White faded and then again when Aikman left. As I recalls years of looking and hoping to find a QB was no fun as the team struggled. We have our QB and I'm damn glad to have him.

The richest man can't buy time so we have to choose how to spend our time wisely. If I would go back reread all those comments, I bet many many people were wrong about Dak and saying Jerry just destroyed any chance for us being competitive by giving Dak all those bags. This thread, along with ones saying it's a mistake to have Steele replace Collins instead of Zach moving in his spot, or Micah is too small to be a DE and Zeke is washed up, that just proves that 99 percent of the posters here would not make a great GM like some claim.

One thing about these high salaries that we see QB getting, it puts more pressure on teams to be able to hit on players in the draft. Rookie contract as not hard to manage. I think Cowboys will continue to stay away from the big ticket FA players during the off season and continue to look to mid level FA and rely on the draft.

They have no choice.

Signing back their own guys is going to be a huge task and a lot of them will get away.

Schultz and Gregory should get signed.

Then they have to do something with Jarwins deal.

Connor is gone.

Kearse is a maybe.

Kazee should be back. I think he’s a priority signing.

LVE looks like he is done.

Keanu Neal will probably be cheap. I barely notice the guy.

Hooker gone.

Gallup gone.

Cedric Wilson should be back.

Noah Brown gone.

Lewis gone.

Brown is a FA too right?
