You've already destroyed your reputation when it comes to evaluation. You should be one of the last people on earth mentioning Dak Prescott's name.

This thread shows an incredible lack of self awareness.

We can win the SB this season but I think 3 or 4 teams have a better chance. Dak is certainly good enough….our O-line and defense may be short of championship caliber.

But when you get to the big game, it’s all about performing in the moment. Dak’s legacy will be built by how well he does in big playoff games.
his mom and brother died before he was even 30.

I guarantee he’s not scared of a moment like that when he’s already been through MUCH much worse!

Super bowl baby

lol…..this is hilarious coming from you.

who was the bozo that just a year ago was jumping with joy when Dak got hurt and your hero dalton got his shot?

Who was the bozo screaming in anger when Dak was resigned?

“waaaa Dak will make this team mired in mediocrity for the next 10 years”

You are the most wrong way poster this site has ever seen and you are a total fraud.

“Dak doesn’t affect winning”

how many more dumb quotes of yours do you want me to remind you of?

“dalton will be better for this offense then Dak”

“dalton efficiency”

Are you trying to say how dead wrong you have been?

My opinion changed. Nothing strange about it. I’m not married to my opinion. I call it how I see it.

If anyone thinks Dak has played his normal brand of football this year then be my guest and believe it.

Was there not a big thread the other day about winning and losing being a team stat? I think I remeber them being all over "Dak is'nt winning this by himself" yet when the narrative changes to IF the lose or win its the QB...I mean its par for the course right?
If you didn't contribute to a Super Bowl win you're not a winner in the NFL.

The position you play means nothing.

He's trying (and failing miserably) to go with some revisionist history approach. And to somehow put qualifiers on past stupid comments as if it makes him look less dumb. It's sad really.

But that’s where he’s setting the table for if we don’t win it all then Dak has no excuses ultimately wanting to hold Dak responsible. He just attempted to present it coming in the back door.

The Dak trolls are running out of angles. . Lol

But will he set up this same logic with Stafford, Rodgers, Josh Allen, Mahomes (Without a good defense), etc.... so making it so that they and only they can take the blame and fault if their teams fail to make to or win the Super Bowl? Or this just something where he is setting it up for only Dak to be held responsible, while the other QBs will be allowed to have their coaches, other players and team mates take or share responsibility and blame, if their teams don't win it all?

So you were wrong?

Dak is a great qb, he runs the offense better than dalton, daks contract won’t doom the cowboys, Dak does affect winning, we can win with dak, we shouldn’t dump Dak and start over, and cowboyroy was right about all of it?

is that what you are saying?

OMG bro, you're delusional and now a proven leader of the Dak haters club... Trent dilfer won a superbowl and brady got 1 not doing ANYTHING but relying on defense... Why compare Dak to other Qb's using the same defense... This is a prime example of a Dak Hater looking for reasons to hate... Get help..

Yeah..

Me saying Dak is a good solid QB the whole time makes me a hater.

Even though I’ve said millions of times that even elite QBs aren’t worth big contracts.

You guys want me to be a “hater” so bad but the worst you’ve got out of me is Dak is a good solid QB that is carried by his team and he doesn’t carry them.

I stand by my past opinion of him and I stand by my current opinion of him. It’s not like I waited for a ton of proof either. I praised his play starting week 1.

I was right then and I’m right now.

The only thing I guess I was wrong about is I didn’t think he could manage a offense in a way where he is the guy actually carrying the team instead of the team around him carrying him.

If he is man enough to admit he was wrong about all of it I will support him. I just don’t think he is capable.

there is plenty of truth in everything you are saying. But this isn’t the right approach. Give the guy credit for admitting fault. Even if you don’t like the way he’s going about it. At least he’s willing to come to the right conclusion. Many people aren’t as willing. I give him credit for this thread.

ok maybe I’m wrong. Right then about what? Being able to carry the entire team is the most important piece of the equation. So you were wrong about the only thing that mattered. Good to know we cleared that up.

I love how much "the narrative" has changed so far this year ... let me count the ways:
  • Dak breaks his ankle, may never play again
  • Dak is not elite and will never be worth a big contract
  • Dak hurts shoulder in preseason, does not take a single preseason snap, he will be rusty and hold the offensive back because of his extended time off
Wow, talk about being wrong on a single player in so many ways. Now to the Defense:
  • Before the season, the Cowboys defense is one of the worst in the league (based off their terrible 2020 year)
  • We don't have any run stuffing DTs, no passrushers, terrible LBs, no Safeties, and their CBs are not impressive either
  • If, which is a BIG IF, the D can be average, then the Cowboys can make the playoffs. But they are a LONG WAY from average
I mean only the biggest homers would say our Defense has shown to be able to carry a bad QB. They have improved and should continue to improve with players coming back from IR, but I think it is silly to suggest this D is a lock with ANY QB in the league. I believe they are getting better, but come on, they still has a ways to improve.

But NOW, the defense is Championship Caliber and because of the QB (who is playing at an MVP worthy level so far) that is the ONLY reason why the Cowboys can't win a SB? Like, this is the story you want to hang your hat on? Really? REALLY?

You would think that maybe some people should just admit they were wrong about a certain Dallas Cowboys QB instead of spinning narrative after narrative on how "they were right" all along.

I mean, we do have a "non-elite QB" leading the #1 scoring offense in the NFL that is obviously not "Super Bowl winning" worthy.
Nah ... it is the Cowboys 20th ranked scoring D that is carrying the "non-elite QB" and the #1 scoring offense to the promise land.
If you could just replace the QB, who again, is playing at an MVP level so far this year, we would be set.

Just when you think you've heard it all ...

Nearly everything that could possibly go right for Dallas has gone right.

Like everything.

Even when a guy gets injured the guy behind them plays incredible.
