This isn't surprising, actually. If Steele keeps the job once Collins is 100% back then it would be newsworthy. I like easing Collins back in to make sure he's fit enough. Same for not rushing Dak back in training camp when he had that shoulder issue. Anyone doubting that decision now?

Collins has seen no action since opening day. It's a no brainer at this point.

Nah that makes no sense.

In order for him to see action he actually has to see action.

This is about 1 or all of the following.

1. They love Steele.

2. They are down on Collins.

3. They are down on Connor.

4. They want their best 5 on the field

5. Potential Trade brewing

Many here originally did not want Collins to move from LG to RT. His first year or so at RT was not great either but he adapted. Collins at LG was a beast. He mauled opposing DL. It will be interesting to see how he performs now if he take over the LG position. If he is anywhere close to what he used to be at LG then I guarantee you Zeke will be running left a lot!

Yep and I also told you that if Steele was great I wouldn’t regret my opinion based on the information I had.

I still don’t regret my opinion either..
Well you were wrong about that one as well as many others.

I'm not certain this is a good move but it is what is. CW is a penalty machine but Im not certain Lael is an upgrade there id rather see McGovern. Lael hasn't played guard in 2 years and he most definitely is a better tackle that Steele even though I like what i see in Steele now.

Connor Williams is a FA after the season.

Dallas could just simply be asking themselves who are our best 5 guys and getting them on the field.

Connor has a good finesse game but the dude can be rag doll’d and penalized because of it.

La’el may not get to the 2nd level as well as Connor but he’s not going to get overpowered like he does.

lol,,, the dude hasn't played in about 1.5 seasons. No way are they going to throw him out there right away. They'll let him practice a few weeks, maybe sub in for some playing time and ease him into it. Of course he'll have to show that he's ready before they'll put him in.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..

I asked for that move and they are actually looking at him at guard?

It’s hard not to read into this..

Are the Cowboys upset with him? Are they trying to motivate him? Do they just think Steele is better (doubtful).

Or.. Or… Is their a trade in the world before the deadline next week and by doing this it kinda sends a message to the league?

They really like Steele to do this.
you're overthinking it... it's clear to me that they read your post and acted accordingly.

La'el is getting punished for being bad. He'll earn his way back to the RT position.
Exactly, he was away from Football for five weeks serving his suspension not able to practice, he wasn't going to start this week after just one practice, more than likely he'll be back at right tackle next week, but I wouldn't be apposed to Collins starting at left guard where I think he should have been playing all along..

It's just a matter of time before "next man up" comes calling. He will get back into the mix.
