Very dumb. Steele has been massively overrated this year.
This is a nothing burger. Collins has been away for 6 weeks.. It's going to take a minute for him to get back up to game speed. He will get his job back when he can demonstrate full capacity in practice. He'll also get some snaps in this game to show what he's got.. If he balls out he starts next week.. If he falters Steele does.. Again not rocket surgery.
If memory serves me correct, he did play guard his rookie year and was really good at it. I am all for the 5 best players out there.
He shouldNice job Steele! Way to step up and claim that position!
Hopefully Collins is a team player about this.
Do you really think if Steele were playing poorly that Collins would not be starting this week? Seriously?
someone might trade a 2nd for Connor Williams and then pay him a long term contractI don't see them trading Collins. His contract is cap friendly and with Williams leaving after this year the O-line suddenly becomes quite thin.
They may trade Williams if somebody is looking for a rental LG. But the most likely scenario is they both stay and Collins will try to win a job over either Williams or Steele.
Dude just hates Collins lol. Every oline thread you’ll see him talk about how he thinks his career is over at any minute. No way. He’s got a good contract. A team would give up assets for him.
He’s got value.
Quality offensive lineman are NFL gold.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..
I asked for that move and they are actually looking at him at guard?
It’s hard not to read into this..
Are the Cowboys upset with him? Are they trying to motivate him? Do they just think Steele is better (doubtful).
Or.. Or… Is their a trade in the world before the deadline next week and by doing this it kinda sends a message to the league?
They really like Steele to do this.
