The Chiefs fans dont take us seriously

Chiefs fans are super devoted. Their team is the best franchise, they have the greatest stadium ever, their fans are the best, loudest, prettiest......it goes on and on. Even during the Cowboys dynasty years I had to keep hearing how the Chiefs had the winningest record, yada, yada, blabber, blabber. I've heard it for the 32 years that I've lived in Missouri. In other words complete and total homers.

Please, please Cowboys win this game.

I literally could not care any less what our opponents fans think of us. Respect is earned in the playoffs. Not the regular season.

Even though as a big Cowboys fan I respect what we’ve been doing this year as a team, I totally understand if any fan base looks at the Cowboys and says, “Meh- what have they done?”

The ONLY way we’re ever going to get respect is to earn it in January. And it would certainly help to win in Arrowhead Sunday. But the respect I want comes after kicking someone’s butt in the playoffs.

Live and work in the kc area. When thr chiefs are good they are fanatical. When average, not so much. But when they were bad, man did they revolt. Staged black outs to express their dislike of coaches, I think it was Todd Hayley. Flew planes towing banners. The hunt family paid attention. I give them that. Hired Reid and the rest is history.

Radio today was celebrating yesterday's victory over Vegas. A few chirps about Josh Gordon maybe having an expanded role and potentially getting Clyde Edwards Hillare back. I'm sure as the game gets closer they will start focusing on Dallas. Be interesting to hear what they have to say. They started laying the groundwork for excuses today pointing out 4 games left vs afc west opponents and how they control their own destiny. I can hear them now after the loss pointing to the division games as more important.

I think this is a good time to construct a thread discussing this game and whether or not we should be viewed as a legitimate threat.

I grew up being a fan of the Chiefs as well and that is thanks to my grandfather who was a huge fan so moseying over to their forum isn't out of the norm for me...

One thing that struck me was when I was over at their forum they're totally 100% all saying that beating us should be an easy win. Some of the things they brought up was that we've beat bad teams, and that Big Mike was a horrible coach and Andy Reid has his number.

Some of the other things were that our linebackers are terrible, and that Dak has a noodle arm. They also pointed out that the beating we took at the hands of the Bronco's was an example of who we really are...

They believe their defense will shut down our run and we will collapse.. They're talking about running table easily...

I don't know about you guys, but I see a team in Kansas City that has some serious issues. I'm not about to be like their fans and assume we're going to walk into their house and whip them, but I seriously don't understand why the delusion is so prevalent.

For me, this is one of those games where it could go either way, but to assume we're an easy out is pure idiocy.
noodle arm? weird

do they not know that Zeke and Pollard only got 40 yards each yesterday?

This reminds me of the Panthers board when they were 3-0 and we were going to be easy. Im glad KC had a party last night so they wont be hungry next week

Yes "Noodle Arm"... This is exactly what a poster on their board said about Dak.... I seriously think this is one of those situations where a fan base is poorly informed or educated on our team. Again, to assume that it's an easy win is laughable and that is exactly what they're doing in... 100% of the posters on the forum don't take us seriously at all.... I like it..

equally we are underrating the chiefs and not taking them seriously enough...

IMO better comes with the A- game or we will get beat..

should be a competitive game but in no way is this the same struggling chiefs team you all were hoping for 3 weeks ago..

not disagreeing, but for what its worth part of that "loudest" stadium thing is because the stadium is below ground level. Youre in MO you know So the sound doesnt escape as much as it would in normal stadiums. But yeah it is a great fan base regardless. Ive liked the Chiefs over the years, just not next week.

I live in KC. After last night's win, Chief fans are talking SB again and laugh at the thought that Dallas could beat them. They really believe they're back after last night.

Here me out for a second, it's not that I care what they fans think, it's more about being confused how they honestly don't even see us a threat, this makes no sense...

I'm on our forum every day and each and every week there is always a high percentage of posters whom think we're going to lose. All I heard was how the Panthers would win, the Chargers would be a loss, and even the Patriots. What I'm saying is that for as good as we've been we have a pretty realistic fan base over here that is evenly split. Just look at the last game against the Falcons! If you look back at the post before the game, many thought we could lose after what happened against the Broncos..

My point here is that respect is earned based on what you have done over a stretch of games. Cowboys have the best offense in the NFL, and a very good special teams and defense that is rising up... For the Chiefs fans to not understand this just shows how delusional they are, that is all I'm saying.. Whatever the Chiefs did the last couple of years has very little to do with what they're doing this season, different year, different situation.

I don't think anyone on this forum is underrating the Chiefs where do you get that? If anything when push comes to shove I think most think the Chiefs should win..
I picked the cowboys to win on @Risen Star poll, but that is me picking with my homer heart, but if I had to be honest I think it could just as easily be a loss..

I do think a few weeks ago we were laughing at the Chiefs, but they have gotten better, but then again so had Atlanta before we crushed them..

Sounds like some of our fussy fans. When the team is hot, they're heroes; when they're not, they're bums . . . no middle ground!
