Are we still pretending that was a legitimate loss and not a total screwjob from the refs?
:lmao2:
At the end of the day it's still a lost, if you want to win 4 games in a row come Jan/Feb you need to overcome a lot adversity. This team has one major problem and that's not bad refs. It's the run defense and awful linebacker play. I don't think they can fix that issue until the off seasons, and that's going to be the downfall of this team this season.

Dak is a good serviceable QB and has had good games . But unfortunately he is not elite , nor special . The cowboys can win a super bowl with him , but not with the following other issues :

1- grossly overpaid playwrs like zeke , and DLaw etc .
2- a coach like MM who obviously is not a top tier coach , and his super bowl is attributed to one of rhe greatest QB ever and a top tier GM getting him talent at Green Bay .
3- ailing OL / Running game .

You forgot to add dominating defense like Flacco and Manning had. Only thing I question is if Dak can go into a different mode like those two did in the playoffs.

Indeed a dominant defense can get a super bowl with Dak . That by itself is enough and I feel Jerry is now paying attention to this .

Elite QB's get paid 40 million these days. Try to keep up.

We do actually have a top flight defense. Although Brown is a bad weak link. You seem to be sorely misinformed.
We must be looking at 2 different teams. The last 3 games, I saw reality.

Cowboys 375 passing yds Raiders 373 passing yds
Cowboys 64 yds rushing Raiders 143 yds rushing

Any sane Cowboys fan see a difference here? Just talking to the sane fans since there are far fewer of us out here.

I didn't think he was going to get beyond bus driver ability in his first three years, but he's grown quite a bit in many ways. The first three quarters of yesterday's game he wasn't very impressive, but the fourth quarter is more like what I've come to expect from him. Oddly enough, it happened when they went no huddle, as we had talked about wanting them to do last week.
To win in football, you need to play all 4 quarters..... Not wake up in the 4th.

Don't waste your time or breath Rocyaice. Cause if somehow we win the Super Bowl, I will unignore all the Dak naysayers, roast the "you know what" out of them, and then put them back on ignore.

Imagine really thinking your paycheck determines if you're elite or not at your job.....

Greetings fellow Zoners. It seems like most posters on this forum are in agreement we are devoting an enormous amount of our cap to a QB who is essentially a top of the line bus driver. I have seen some posters on here in the past who obviously understand the cap much better than I. I am wondering if one of them can hazard a guess as to when we can realistically turn the page on the Dak era and move on from his massive contract? I am reflecting back to last off season when it seemed like the Eagles were completely hosed with the Wentz contract, and somehow, some way Roseman not only trades him, but it looks like there are going to get a first round pick back to boot!! I feel like we will just continue the 25 year ride down the toilet until we take our chances and hitch our wagon to a highly drafted QB. And don't bring up Brady because no sane person thinks finding the best player in the history of the game in the 6th round is going to happen in our lifetimes. And don't bring up Romo we won nothing with him either. Thanks.

He has signed a 4 year contract which essentially is a 3 year deal. Which btw its the length he was opting for, not us.

-> 2024 is the first real chance to cut/trade him. It would take us $28,900,000 of dead cap space to do so.

But as i said, we wanted him longer here before that contract and i dont think that will change if he stays the average guy he is. The FO is convinced he is the man.

So i think he will be here for the rest of his career. Get used to it.

You know he's a fraud when his supporters try to deflect blame to others.

When you sign that deal you become the man. You're being paid to carry the team. If you can't do that then you shouldn't be paid like you can.

I think any reasonable viewer can see Dak Prescott can't do that.

I used to think like you.

As far as the playoffs go, I have zero confidence that we’ll get unbiased officiating for 4 straight games. The team could very well be good enough and we’d still get royally screwed.

We’ve gotten screwed out of wins TWICE this year. Out of our 4 losses total.

It’s not a coincidence. We’re getting jobbed. It was an issue in New England too.

Dallas is the only team in the league who has officials huddling up to change their “call on the field” to the INCORRECT call.

Dak’s the only QB in the league who gets no credit for his obvious QB sneak TDs.

The Michael Gallup “OPI” last year in Week 1 was the worst OPI call you’ll ever see.

The Chris Godwin “no OPI” this year in Week 1 was the worst OPI non-call you’ll ever see.

Common denominator? Cowboys get screwed.

Yeah I try not to get sucked into their crap but I like to do temperature checks just to get ammunition when we do eventually win lol. They'll be MIA though I already know lol.

No. I'm agreeing.

We way overpaid for a QB who hasn't shown that level.
The problem is we had to overpay, or we'd be stuck with someone who only believes he's worth 25 - 30 million. Dak is a good QB, but nobody is worth 40 million.

Hey @rocyaice

You avoiding these questions?

lol
I literally answered you the FIRST AND SECOND time you asked that lol...nobody is avoiding you.....but I'll answer you again just in case you don't see post #151 where I answered this....

How does his leadership manifest itself? They're 7-4. He has one losing season on his resume and he got hurt that year.

Now that I've answered your question answer mine....did Aikman and Irvin suck as leaders?

There was a league survey of the top 100 players before the season. Zak Martin was the only Cowboy. People rip on Anthony Brown. But where this team lacks is at the top of the roster. How much do we pay Amari Cooper to be middle of the pack?

I'll answer for him:

These are dumb questions.

How is anyone who isn't in the locker room supposed to even attempt to answer either of these?
Maybe you should go back and read the thread before you continue to ask yet more dumb questions.
