To those complaining about Dak's contract

I bet you don't think Carson Wentz or Kirk Cousins is better than Dak do ya?

Look at their stats compared to Daks then ask me if I should praise Dak for crapping the bed 3 of the past 4 weeks.

I would take Dak instead of Wentz any day. Dak is more consistent. You want to talk mental errors? Wentz makes more than Dak. One thing that I think most objective observers would note is that Dak takes care of the ball better than Wentz, and it's not close.

so the alternate to resign daks was what ?

spend the next 2-3 drafts trying to find a player that takes 3-4 years to get to daks level..we lose a bunch more games until then but hey if we win the draft that all that matters here right? tank get good draft picks become the jags, jets, browns ,panthers, skins, giants, and many other bottom 16 teams still looking for a QB like Dak? there are nt 20 qbs better then dak so 12 teams have very good qbs and we are one of them..

so hes not elite but hes top 10 those are hard to find we saw this show many times..

grow up..this is a team sport and daks not perfect, hes not elite but hes very good and at times great. you should be able to win games when the qb scores 28+ points and at times we fail to do so give up too many points like the bucs game and recently the raiders game..these are not on dak..

IMO hes had two games he was part of the reason we lost Denver but that was team loss really and the KC game that's on him for sure..

so he plays very well more games then not..get over it..plenty of football left to get where we want to go..

And that's saying something. All these people want to get people out or sack them at the 1st sign of trouble. Yet there aren't any alternatives offered. Who would they draft in the 2021 draft? Top 8 QBs don't grow on trees. It's not as simple as well, let's just spin the draft wheel and out comes Tom Brady. And that's with most owners/GMs. THen they're trusting JERRY JONES to take a QB. THe same one that wanted Manziel and Lynch. We're trusting HIM to select a QB? No thanks! I'll keep Dak!

Then we don't get Parsons. And Justin isn't ready yet imo. He needed at least a year. Mac Jones is a solid player, but do you think he'd be the same under Mike with no D (which was a big need as well mind you that Parsons has got to midtable from bottom table) as he is with Bill? That Patriots D is ferocious, and they got the mastermind on that side o the ball.

Ok, and let's say Jerry does take a QB instead, which means no Parsons whose been a gamechanger on this defence (and he's a rookie!). Do you think Jerry actually takes a good QB? He lucked into Romo and Dak. He wanted Manziel and Lynch. Dak wasn't on his radar until he the 4th round when the other QBs he wanted were gone. He also thought Weeden had a "pretty spiral" in 2017. You're trusting him to take a better QB than Dak?

Wentz has 6 fumbles.
Dak has 8 fumbles.

Dak also has played ONE LESS game than Wentz this season but yet has more INTS and Fumbles.

So yeah, I guess we are watching a different Carson Wentz.

If Dak wants his doubters to buy in then he's going to have to lead this team to more than just a division title in one of the worst divisions in the NFL. You guys have become to comfortable accepting mediocrity, moral victories, and participation trophies and it really shows. You should expect better.

I guess there, but then we'd be without Parsons whose turned this D around. He looks to be a generational talent at D and can play like 4 positions. So, I think we made the right choice there.

I know the stats, but Dak has looked cleaner. Plus, the INTs Wentz has thrown, especially the one at the 1, was quite atrocious. I'd happily keep Dak instead o Wentz.

Wentz plays in a worse division than ours. I mean, come on. He's got the Texans and Jaguars in his division. I mean, sure, he's also got Tennessee, but they are now down Henry and he's the Titans.

I agree. I think he should play up to it. I think his teammates need to step it up too. I think the coaches need to drill into the players heads to not grant the stripes easy reasons to penalise us. Trying to complete a 3rd and 10+ is not exactly something you can rely consistently on, and getting penalised like we did against the Raiders certainly hampers that. Not many plays can be called on 3rd and 17.

Is Dak a top 10 QB?

Of course he is. GMs, coaches and players unanimously believe so as well, as the offseason polls proved.

That means he’s worth the contract. It’s market value for a franchise QB getting paid in 2021. In a couple years it’ll look like a bargain.

It amazes me that some people can’t grasp SIMPLE concepts like this.

Top 10 when everything is going right, bottom 10 when everything is not. In the end, he nothing more than an average QB. Can look below average, average, or above average per game.
