After reading the article, so I'd have a little context before expressing my opinion of Dak's statement, I don't think he was "throwing shade" at the fans. I think what he was saying is he understands that people might be losing faith in the team, not that they aren't supportive enough. It could also be that he's not referring to actual Cowboys fans, but the people who saw the team doing well early in the season and started gaining interest, only to walk away at the first sign of trouble.

His main point, as I see it, was simply to point out that the team has faith in each other, and what anyone else thinks isn't going to change that.

That’s probably a fair assessment. Surely he understands while it’s important for the players and team to still believe in them it’s not required by fans, critics and the media.

If a little losing streak cleans out the wagon fans that’s actually good. Too bad these last 25 years hadn’t cleaned out more.
