Elliott had a nice burst to begin last season as well.

It's nothing against him, more like the nature of the position. They wear down, and that makes full sense.

He also had a ton of mileage on him when he first got here.

If they give him a rest period here just maybe he can regain some of that burst, because right now, other than pass blocking he is hurting us more than helping.

and last year we finished with 11 OL combos and 3rd string ol , 4 qbs and horrible team playing from behind all year..

lets stop talking 2020 and this year 4 weeks ago hes been dealing with a bad knee and ankle..so get over the fact hes worn down , hes not. its an injury and frankly if you somehow trust the below 4YPC ie 3.8 from pollard as some kind of confidence our OL and OC is able to create a run game because Elliot's been the issue, you sir are ridiculously blind and ignorant to facts..

teams are stacking the line, daring us to beat them with the pass and the pass game is now 1-3 vs when zeke and pollard tore up the league as zeke was 5.1 ypc in that 6 game win streak and was the engine that made the offense go and thats fact, teams saw that and decided to take it away.

all this pollard talk when most of his base runs are under 4YPC as some chest pumping from zeke haters is insane..hes not running well either hes had some nice ST runs, nice catch and runs and one big gadget play as runner..as a runner he barely better then zeke whos playing on one leg..lmao..those are facts

this will be up to the OC run game plan, the Ol executing's it, and them the RBs come into play,,

so much like 2020 the issue with the run game is the OL, the OC as theres not much there as teams have decides to focus on our run game.I hope pollard has success but we need healthy zeke hes better then pollard , period..right now hes not himself so we need new plan to get him back healthy and hope in the meantime the OC, HC, and OL get this worked out..

Pollards being overrated for sure, i like him but zeke haters are tripping right now..Zekes been injured and thers no holes to be had , proof pollards 3.8 YOC he also didn't do much.

i hope he does do well but the run game issue are not zeke its the OL and OC inability to counter what defenses are doing to stop our run game..

I wouldn't overwork pollard though.

I don’t think we will. Elliot is dinged up but I would say 1 or 2 weeks will be enough. Last game Elliot wasn’t even close to being healthy.,

hes hurt not worn down and the fresh pollard had 3.8 ypc, so?? pollard is not doing much either is my point. Period end of story this is and issue with the OL, OC , and over all defenses focused on stopping the run and we are not physical enough at the LOS to go heads up with a stacked box..so either our pass game must open up the run game or the OC with the OL must have better run game plan..its not Zeke its the line and the run game plan period ..

its so obvious only fans looking to blame zeke would do so..the run game has suffered and iots not the players in this instance its the OC and OL..make defenses back off then get back to the run and devise run game that is beig used out of many formations, motions and other designs to keep the defenses guessing.

.Moore is a bigger issue with the line secondary before running backs can even be bothered to be hammered into a wall all game and that what this vanilla run game brings..

moore gave up on the run game too often in the last few games and its his nature..MM needs to help moore with that while in game situations arise.. also it might be dak far to often checking out of run plays and that has to stop..

That's not the reason for the lack of running game and may not be the answer, but the guy has several injuries and he probably won't be as needed in the Saints game as much as the following two.

I'd give him the time but I doubt the team goes that way.

not arguing this but all this confidence pollards the answer and zekes been the issue are all wrong..its the OL and OC they need to get back to balanced complimentary football to get where we need to..being one dimensional has got us 1-3 its hurting the offense but also TOPP and the defense..

Pollard alone is not the answer.

We 100% need Zeke Elliott with this December/January schedule.

I'm thinking a little time may be the best way to get that out of him. That alone may not be the answer, but risk vs reward is worth it IMO.

I get that but the tone of about 5 threads is zeke is washed done and hurting the team and that not true that 6-1 start was a lot to do withy zeke and i dont like fans attacking one of our best. they state pollards clearly better, i say in what way accept health 3.8 YPC most of his games if he doesnt break a good one his YPC is very average..

this is team issue the OC and OL must get their poop together and get physicals and back defenses off and get ours mojo back..

Well yeah there's gonna be a lot of that due to the contract.
