What is this team lacking?

They need help in all phases of their game, including better QB play.

I'm beginning to believe that the last 4 weeks is more accurate indication of what this team really is.
Kinda average.

What's most disturbing is that they've lost their running game. Neither of their running backs have come close to breaking 100 yards the last 5-6 games. One can say that in the last few game it's (the running game) been pathetic.

What was the first 7 games?
I don't know... an aberration? ....maybe adrenaline....?

They may win the NFCE by default, but that's where it will end. Right now even the East is in question, IMO.

Decline of the oline is the biggest, especially losing Travis Frederick. He was a monster at center and not only could block DTs one on one, he made all the line calls, blitz adjustments, everything.

Its hard to replace somebody like that, and ever since he left the online has never been the same. Add to that that Tyron is constantly injured every year and misses games and all of a sudden you are missing 2 or your 3 cornerstone pieces of your oline.

I honestly dont think the team will seriously contend again until the oline is rebuilt again.

I'm also wondering how being 5th in the NFL in passer rating and leading an offense that is 1st in the NFL in yardage and 2nd in the NFL in scoring equates to the QB not playing well when things aren't perfect.

Dak isn't perfect. Certainly not Brady or Rodgers. Or Mahomes either. But what you are looking for? By your criteria does a QB have to be Brady, Rogers or Mahomes to cut it as a quality NFL player?

25+ years...same results, year in year out...at some point its not the HC, OC, Defense, Offense, Dak, Romo, etc......they all came and went....one constant...

it makes sense you have a lot of passing yards, given you are passing to catch up.... and it makes sense you have a lot of passing attempts, you are passing to catch up. pretty much the obvious, not a revelation as you thought...

We lack size and physicality on defense. We have seen games where we give up 200yds of rushing and those games will happen again. Our DTs are small and bullyable. And our LBs are finesse type of players.

On offense our OLine lacks punch up the middle. Our C and LG wait for DL rather than punch them in the mouth. And they struggle holding their ground let alone getting any push.

actually I think we lack physicality over all. our offense is not physical despite the OL.....we don't do well against teams and defenses that play us physical. we are a finesse offense.

i've seen Russell Wilson (who has been considered one of the top QBs in NFL for years) .but who also has been really struggling since
returning from a hand injury.,... ironic Dak himself hasn't been the same since his calf injury

I watched film of the KC and Raiders games....Dak has been good and in fact very accurate from the pocket. he has struggled with his throws on the run....where in the past he was very good throwing on the run....he seems to favor the left leg and one hops a lot of his throws when outside the pocket

the owner is good...the GM sucks.....25+ years.....many QBs, coaches, players, etc...and same results...at some point its not them, its the GM
