Stupid post..."haters" that's all you guys have to fall back on. I Don't hate Dak, and yeah, I have a big problem with his contract...."no trade clause".
Yea how dare he look out for his best interest. People have absolutely no problem with teams flexing their muscle for their best interest, but when players protect themselves... yall have a problem.

yes, its MVP, but it has no bearing on contract negotiations and value. its for the fans......

Wilson never won an MVP, yet he got the largest contract at the time he signed....

Wilson won a SB which trumps an MVP. played in two, he deserved big $$$$.

Dude, if you don't get an NFL MVP....how is that possible?

Cause its Dak pretty much about it at this point as I don't see a Rodgers,Brady,Wilson dang even Hebert quality QB out there.
Tonight he will be throwing his short ones all night long......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....as that's about all his talent level will allow!

It would never happen, because, well, I won't get into that, but if some desperate team ever wanted to give up a couple of 1st round picks, or even more (think Jimmy Johnson) for Dak and assume the rest of Dak's contract, JJ could not do a damn thing about it. JJ bought the elephant in the room, now he has to sleep with it.

Oh, before I get called the childish "hater" word, Dak is a decent QB, not the mystical being on the mountain.

This dude uses Dak as a way to get attention from you guys.
Who knows or cares how he really feels. He goes quiet when Dak plays well and starts chirping anytime we lose or Dak doesn't play as well/.

He doesnt have the ability to feel differently since anything he says is just schtick anyway and his way of trying to get attention. He probably is some fat nerd that never got attention from women and this makes him feel relevant. Just another internet troll.
I find it hilarious that you label anybody that doesn’t slobber over the mention of Dak as a troll. Some fans see the exaggerated worth placed on Dak around here and they choose to have a different opinion. I make a point not to rub it in when Dak stinks up a game and I make it a point to ignore him when he plays well. There are no rules saying that every fan has to be filled with Dak lust. There has been several players over the last 50+ years that I have not cared for. Dak happens to be among them. Several chinks in in his armor have been exposed this year and I feel no need to rub it in. I am quietly seeing more and more people recognize that empty stats and failures against decent teams should cost $40 million ata year. At one time, this team has had the best RB , OL, WRs and decent TEs around him and the offense still couldn’t win against good teams, even in low scoring games. I just wonder about the long list of apologizes that will be due to Pappy when Dak retires without ever winning a championship. The list should be long and the posters should be humbled. That she be an interesting day.

It's none of my business how much Dak got, what blows me away is the "no trade" clause because if someday JJ gets sober and sees the light he cannot get rid of Dak until his contract is up and knowing JJ, he will resign him.
I suspect Dak will agree to a trade at some point if it becomes clear things aren't working out, but this way he will have the right to nix a deal if it isn't to a team he would be willing to go to.

What’s there to hate. Nobody held a gun to Jethro’s head. We had ample time with Dak on Franchise Tag to look for another alternative .

Dak negotiated the best deal for himself. In the end the Cowboys will dump him like anyone else . Fans often forget this is always a business first.

If we really believe he’s over paid then that’s a slam on our front office not Prescott.
Bull. Dak has made $100 million off of endorsements for wearing the Star on his helmet. Dak simply got greedy. He could have taken $30 million / year, and that would have helped the team. Instead, Dak thought above being greedy and getting the most for himself ONLY, regardless if it hurts the team from being able to keep a playoff caliber team intact every year.

You know it. I know it Everybody knows it.

So call it what it is (this is coming from me, Dak's biggest fan)...that was some greedy *** job Dak held up against Jerry...and got away with. Now, the team is going to pay the price for it after this season. If calling Dak (or any overpaid player) as being greedy truly bothers anyone, tough cookies. I will call it what it truly is whether you like it or not, Greg.

Something tells me he's going to be a very good WR. I wish we could keep him.
I wish like hell we could keep him too, and that's especially true given the fact Cooper seems to frequently have nagging injuries he is trying to play through.

For sure. It is also why Cooper is probably gone as well. After that, they should be able to keep everyone else around (for better or worse).
And what is Dakko gonna do????
Lamb doubled then what?
Oh the post to the TE ahhhh think DC got that one on film.
Then what????

ANY evidence/stats/crystalball readings to back this up would be great...

Or are you just guessing?

So what was the problem, why the hassle over Dak;s contract? So Jerry really had no choice so why the problem?
Jerry did have a choice, but he felt signing Dak was a better choice than letting him walk. The difficulty is there would be consequences regardless of the choice. Obviously a quality QB is vital to a team, but the price tag also leaves less money to build the rest of the team.

He's a Dak fan first then he might just care about the Cowboys.
If Dak was traded to Philly you will find him in the Eagles chat forums selling Dak once again.
He's not the only one here ......free country I guess....Salud

Well, you're anti-Dak first, so you are just the opposite side of the same coin he is on. I absolutely have no doubt you would rather the Cowboys lose than see them win with Dak at QB.
