Normally those who say “Dak slobberers” have low IQ so there’s nothing really left to debate here….have a good day. Never argue with fools….

Those with the name royjaice tend to have a low IQ as well.

Dont know, dont care. The point is not everything was 100% sunny with Romo. He had some years with a loaded offense, and some years with maybe the worst oline or weapons in the league. I love Romo, I love Dak, but don't understand why we continue to prop one of those guys up by bringing the other down.
You may not care but you said Phil Costa started for Romo for some time and that was a flat out lie. It was 4 games. I’m not propping either one up. I’m just saying Romo better years came with a formidable tackle after Catch tried to say he could ball with Bill Nagy or whoever. Me saying Romo’s best years came with a formidable center shouldn’t be seen as a insult to Romo.

His best years didn’t come with Phil Costa or Bill Nagy or whoever else y’all trying to pretend he had in front of him.

With Phil Costa starting 16 games at Center - Romo put up over 4000 yards and 31TD's to just 10 INT's and completed 66% of his passes, finishing the season with a 102.5 rating

Phil Costa is subpar when compared to Biadasz. And Romo didn't have the talent at WR that Prescott has during that season. Oh, and Montrae Holland and Kyle Kosier (at the end of his career) were the starters in the interior of that oline, along with Costa. Doug Free was the starting left tackle.

I said one of the best.

The problem is a lot of you pay too close attention to Dallas and watch no one else so you don’t have a clue how good Dak has it.

Our OL isn’t a weakness at all. It’s a strength. Only Dak slobberers think Dak is operating behind some terrible offensive line.
This is such an underrated post, aside from the subtle jab at Dak fans haha. This Oline is not nearly as bad as people want to make it out to be. Compared to the rest of the league the Cowboys are in the top half of OL play, probably higher. We can continue to rotate players around, argue about who the best of the worst at LG is, etc, but ultimately the biggest issue is how teams are playing the Cowboys right now. Ever since Denver teams have replicated the model of 8 in the box, man coverage with one high safety, and just absolutely abuse Dak with pressure. Its slow down the run, pressure Dak, and if they give up a big play its not a big deal. Teams are gambling that Dak will make more mistakes than big plays right now, and overall that strategy has paid off. The oline has not been as good, but naturally you wont when teams are routinely loading the box and sending more rushers than blockers available. Dak has to get the ball out quicker, and Kellen has to help him out in that area. It just seems so odd because presnap I noticed Dak actually does a phenomenal job of calling out the blitz, hes just struggling to execute right now.

I'm hopeful that getting both Amari and CD back to 100% changes that, but so far the Cowboys have not had a great answer for how teams are approaching them.

i thought they told us our oline sucked and thats why we can't run the ball.
now the message is its the best.

this place,man.

People that have played or merely watched football should know that a line can be strong in pass blocking but weak in run blocking and vice versa

Wait so 31 Tds and 10 picks is a good season? Is that not what Dak is on pace to do yet he’s “struggling” lol?

Fair enough. I'm just used to reading this board where everything has an agenda behind it haha. Most want to paint the picture of "their guy" having it so rough, while the other guy was completely surrounded by talent.

I still agree with the OP that Dak needs to be better within the pocket, however the reason why he is struggling in the pocket is certainly up for debate.

I htink our run game is suffering because we run the same dang play every time. No misdirection, no play action, no zeke and Tony in the backfield...nothing but up the gut.

It's like Kellen has this vanilla play he runs over and over and tells us how the run game won't work. I hate it.
Exactly, where are the counter plays or running off tackle. We should be running downhill off tackle. Just running up the gut isnt working very well. Show me some two back sets again. That has to be one of KM weakest points, understanding the need and how to run properly.

Dak looks like he's got 20 lb ankle weights on when he moves.

It seems he is still feeling the effects of the "calf strain".

Honestly, I don't care that he's not running. But his footwork and movement in the pocket seems compromised and that sucks.

If it's something that can heal over the season, then we'll probably be alright. But if not, we don't have a legit shot of a deep post season run.
