I know this was a hot topic, even included firing McC to keep Moore. Still feel the same after seeing his play calling the last few games?

The one we should be concerned about losing is Quinn because there were some GM's really liking what they were seeing from him and his interaction with his players on that sideline jumped him up the ladder, I believe.

Kellen Moore was riding the crest of the wave but that hit the beach and has died out and he has more talent on his side of the ball than Quinn but which coach is making the most out of what he has?

Who look confused on that sideline in New Orleans and who looked comfortable and in charge?

I still think Moore has a bright future but he needs to fix the problems of the present because this team rides the offense, and that run game, as far as it will take them and gaining 5 on 1st down when trying to eat some clock and then throwing it twice to end the drive and only using 1:02 of the clock is not high level OC work.

I do not think you have to be concerned about losing Moore to a NFL HC job. That could change but his stock is down right now.

He’s certainly had his struggles over the last month. I do think Fangio and Denver showed the league done of his warts.

But I don’t think Quinn has been perfect either. He’s calling far too much man coverage and his play calls directly contributed to that Thanksgiving loss.

I think both have cooled a bit after a hot start, like the entire team.

yeh,.. there's some strange issues going on with Kellen - (ala a bum knee Zeke as a WR in the slot )
- and for explosive Pollard only receiving a mere 7-8 rushing carries, ( but one that included a edge run for 58 TD run)
- all of the pre-snap motion and shifting, rub routes, and no huddle pace seems to be out the door of last few weeks,

Am i hearing this right, .. Only 2 for 13 on 3rd downs ?

- and especially On the Road, Kellen seems to be more conservative than what we saw vs Chargers, ..vs Pats.
Dunno if the massive penalties, confusion in OL, and receivers have added to Kellen being more conservative.

- But the run game is crap .. and there's some issues with Dak's mechanics again, and the offensive rhythm and consistency is so disruptive now.
i didn't see the usual drops vs Saints than previous games, but WRs running wrong routes, not knowing the plays- lining up (ala Malik Turner, CeeDee)

- Major issues still among that OL, some of it personnel, some of it maybe scheme and design, but I don't get the lack of carries from the one guy in the backfield

If Kellen departs, the OC role is either gonna go
- Ben (Bob?) McAdoo, ..
- .Joe Philibin (ex-Packers OC under McCarthy)
- Maybe if they promote Musseheimer to OC ..? (currently QB coach)
- i think management would prefer McCarthy to be more walk-around HC than taking on dual role HC/OC.

I wondered if he was doing a tribute to Jason Garret with the game he called.

Yes! It also reminded me of the 96-97 Ernie Zampese time here where they’d show him smoking, chewing pencils or whatever like he was coming up with something good and then we’d run up the middle 3 times. I always thought he was convinced “we’ve done it twice, no way they think we’ll try it again”

I've never bought into the genius of Kellen "the beaver" Moore, so I'm not worried in the slightest in losing him... I think more than anything, you have to have a coach that understands game planning, and as long as Big Mike is here we good..
