Okay. Noted.

Washington is a great team and we’ll be lucky to win.

So once we kick their butts up and down the field next Sunday, I don’t want to hear ANY excuses about how “it was just Washington!” or “we’re lucky their QB was Heinicke!”

Remember how quickly the narrative changed about Philly after we demolished them on national TV? All of a sudden they weren’t a worthy opponent and Dallas merely did what was expected.

Depends on who you're talking to.

I'm just saying WFT is on fire at the moment, but a win vs them still doesn't prove anything. Winning against Arizona will help in that department.

WFT isn't as mediocre as they were two months ago but they shouldn't be a match for a team that's supposed to be a SB contender.

All division rival games are tough. No matter the division nor record.

To beat Washington, Dallas needs to put together an excellent game plan and execute it well. Don't let the 5 and 6 record fool you. Washington has some good talent. I've seen several of their games. This Taylor Heinicke has proven himself to be a capable quarterback. I've seen him make tight throws. I'm seen him improvise and make something out of a busted play. I'm not ready to anoint him the next Billy Killmer just yet, but Washington may have found their guy. If he keeps improving, he could be the QB they build their team around, and that's a team that has a chance to be a legitimate competitor. The other thing I noticed about Washington is they have a defense that can make stops. Yardage gained against them is yardage earned.

I'm not labeling them elite, but I wouldn't call Denver elite either, and look what they did to us. Washington, btw, gave Denver a way tougher game than we did. They'll be at home and fired up in front of their fans, and will have a high incentive to knock the Cowboys down a notch when we have a 3-game lead. Their goal will be to sweep us and then get help from one other team beating us, and that would give Washington the NFC East lead.

This game is about as far from an easy game as you can get. It's going to be tough, but this Cowboys team has a lot of talent. A great game plan, plus playing our best wins this one for us, which, of course, is easier said than done. I really hope they'll prep well and get fired up. I suspect we'll see a real dogfight.
Just think if we were 5 and 6.

All division games are difficult even more so on the road. Washington has a very big game this week, if they lose, they will be 3 games back with just 5 to play. Would have to sweep the series to have any chance at the division. Certainly they can cause the Cowboys problems, but so can the Cowboys.

For sure. All division games are tough. These teams know each other well and the WFT still has a decent shot at a WC playoff spot. I expect a tough, physical game.
Physical is what I want to see us do. This is something we have lost along the way. And why we aren’t running the ball. We are no longer punching teams in the mouth. Being a finesse team don’t work when teams play physical..

And now we are scared of the red skins ......... jeebus.

Its the NFC East rival game so anything can happen ........ but I will be dammed if I am gonna be scared of the freaking red skins that we have owned for the past 30 years and Dak is 7-1 against.

You and the team should be. As of this day, WFT is playing better than us and is playing with toughness. We haven't played with toughness since Tampa Bay and that was long, long ago.

Washington is a gritty team and the Cowboys are going to have their hands full. Despite losing their best defensive player Chase Young they’re playing their best football of the season. Instead of folding they’ve elevated their game. Washington has won three Super Bowls with three average QBs. I’m certainly not saying they’re going to win the Super Bowl this season, so don’t anyone try and twist my comment but Taylor Heinicke is in the mold of the type of QBs they’ve had some success with.

I don’t think he’s going to be their future but he has some grit to him. This is another critical game for the Cowboys because if they lose Washington will have the upper hand. They’ll be in full control of their destiny. There’s no easy game left on the Cowboys schedule. They’re going to have to be totally focused and prepared to play each week if they’re going to get back on track. Whatever has gone wrong with the offense they better figure it out quick!

So if we win two games, they have to win out and beat us twice to win the division. I’m assuming you think that will happen.

Expect a split here doesn't matter which one.

Given our OL struggles of late, it's easy to envision Dallas splitting with each divisional opponent.
To me, that would be the 'worst case, scenario. And if that were to happen, they'd go 1-2 with their remaining divisional games. I don't see that however. 2-1 is more likely, probably sweeping the NYG, which would put Dallas at 10 wins, 11 if they beat the Cardinals.

Pappydog and other pessimistic or negative Cowboys fans will call say that the WFT team is an amazingly strong, great opponent, if they beat the Cowboys.

But, if the Cowboys beat the Football team, then they'll either say that the Football team sucks or is really a bad team or will make some sort of other excuses for why Dak shouldn't get credit for beating them and why the Cowboys season still is in "trouble" or "turmoil."
Don't worry about PAPPYDOG and the other reasonable-minded Cowboys fans here.
Worry about Dak-Friendly and how they can stop going 3 and out and start scoring TD......

Dak has a bad track record in D.C.
They beat the Raiders this will not be pretty for us in D.C.

This is why what you say I ignore.

Dak's record versus Washington is 7-1 in 8 games.

I understand you hate him. I can get that, if not truly comprehend why, since your posts are mostly vitriol with zero substance.

But to outright manufacture a comment like above just shows me not only are you dead wrong, but your unbridled hatred means you are rooting for Dak to fail, which makes the team you supposedly follow fail.

You would rather be right about Dak, which means the Cowboys lose, than for Dak to play well and the Cowboys win.

My opinion you are the worst fan on this site. I just wonder what team you truly admire, because it isn't this team.

3 out of 4 losses.
2-14 on 3rd down conv vs the Saints
7 punts.
The only thing I hate is our team at the mercy of this cap killer imposter QB called Dak Prescott.
And yes this isn't the first time our team has started fast with mostly dog teams and folded like a cheap tent come to the end of the season.
You don't like me cause your Dak crush hinders any logical assessments about his performance.
You don't like me cause the truth hurts.
You don't like me cause I'm not a Dak groupie.
Trust this....I sleep fine at night!!!!

I’m only concerned with Payne and Allen vs McGovern and Biadasz. They’re going to be all in Prescott’s grill.

If the Football team loses against the Raiders or Cowboys or both, and the Giants manage to win a game or two in that same time span. Look for the Giants to be hyped up as the next big threat to the Cowboys in the division. Like someone said before, The Media, NFL pundits, and negative Cowboys fans are going to rotate through the 3 other division teams as "the one" to be the biggest threat to the Cowboys or the one who will overtake the Cowboys for the division. And they'll do this until the end of the season.

If they hit on one of them, they'll say "I'll told you so, I knew that the Cowboys would collapse." And if the Cowboys win the division they'll say "So, what? The NFC East is a horrible division, I knew that the Cowboys were overwhelming favorites to win, they're still going to lose in the first round of the playoffs anyway."

You were flat out wrong in your take that Dak doesn't show up against the Washington Football team and once the facts got pointed out to you, you just attempted to either move the goalposts or change the subject to try and feel validated for you obsessive hatred of Dak.
