too many factors here...
- Ceedee's multiple games with a back-up compared to Jefferson playing with a starter full-time
- Ceedee playing behind MG and Coop first year compared to Jefferson becoming an automatic 2 on the outside
- Ceedee COVID

To work this out we need someone smarter than me to post their stats with their QB starting and then we can run a comparison on that

Ruggs wasn't the most polished route runner, not like Jeudy. But, as you say, teams get enamored with speed, especially the Raiders. I thought Gruden would have grown out of the Raider way - a preference to put a premium on speed above ability - but I guess he didn't.
Ironically, neither Gruden nor Ruggs are in the picture anymore.
Stupid to take Ruggs that early. Jeudy and Lamb were simply better prospects, IMO. Ruggs role was always going to be more of a speed threat than anything, and you can get those guys in the mid rounds. Plus, his constantly battling minor injuries was troublesome.

Yeah, Jefferson was the steal of that 1st Round. Everyone was talking about Jeudy, Ruggs, and Lamb and Jefferson out-produced them all. The other thing is they drafted him with the pick from the Bills for trading away Stefon Diggs. So they traded a high salary for a superstar on a rookie deal. That's some good fortune .... that they'll do nothing with, lol.
All they will do with it is prop up Kurt Cousins for a few more years

Two different types of receivers. Both fan bases are happy with who they got and wouldn’t trade for the other.

It really is mind-boggling that Minnesota isn’t one of the top teams. They are stacked offensively, minus QB. I do think you can win with Cousins though. Zimmer needs to go, he’s one of the older coaches who isn’t adapting to today’s game.

Minnesota could be a problem if they actually had a good head coach/play caller.

I think if NFL GMs had a choice between Lamb and Jefferson I thin 70% of them would take Jefferson.

He’s got such a classic style of play and he’s better out wide.

My problem with Lamb is he is a really good slot guy but not that special out wide.

After the catch though Lamb is the better player.
Have to agree

You can run their stats with whoever you want and CeeDee's isn't going to come close to Jefferson.

In fact, there's not many WRs in history that's going to come close to Jefferson when you compare their first 2 years.

As of right now Jefferson has the superior numbers, but.....watching them both play Jefferson ain't got nothing on Lamb. Don't really see some dramatic difference actually.
He also is targeted much more

CeeDee would put up Jefferson type numbers if he had Kirk Cousins throwing to him too.
Probably they’d have closer numbers if they we targeted at the same rate
Jefferson has nearly 40 more targets so he should have more catches and he has more drops too
But they aren’t really the same type of receiver
Lamb plays mostly in the slot

Jefferson is a better classic wideout.

Lamb is incredible and great after the catch.

I think for Dallas Lamb is better but if you’re a team that needs a main go to guy I think Jefferson is better.

Lamb is at his best when he’s a after thought and not the focus of the offense.

Jefferson can “carry the load” and do everything.
Well said.. Your points are right on the money. But hopefully Lamb will put in the work to become a better ALL AROUND WR.; Because I have a feeling that someday soon he will be EXPECTED to be the MAIN GUY/ #1 WR on this team.

Better is a very subjective term.

Personally I am 100% satisfied with Mr Lamb...as long as he doesn't become a diva.

Go Cowboys!

I think he needs to clean up the route running a bit and also has to clean up the drops.

CeeDee is our #2 option and with Gallup on the field - one could argue Gallup is more sure handed than CeeDee and perhaps the #2 option.

I’d take our #1 option (Amari) over Jefferson if anyone is asking.

It’s obvious that Jefferson is better at this point and he may always be.

Happy with Cee Dee though. It’s not like we took Jalen Reagor or something.
