I Think Jalen Ramsey is Jealous of Diggs

Diggs is not going to get 11 INTs a season though. He has given up the most yards of any CB this year, but we're okay with it because he's getting us the ball back.

What would you guys be saying if next year he also leads the NFL in yards given up, but only had 3 INTs to show for it?

That's why I feel like GMs are going to take the shutdown guy every time.
I see what you are saying, but earlier in the year, all of our DBs gave up yards. Why? Lack of a consistent pass rush.

Jalen enjoys the luxury of a potent pass rush in LA. Aaron Donald is the best DL and now they have Von Miller.

By comparison, Diggs now has Tank, Parsons and Randy.

For example, if my math is right, the Cowboys have given up about 159 yards/game the last 3 games (which coincides with our 3headed monster pass rushers finally all playing together).

DBs can't consistently cover WRs for 5 seconds. But when they only have to for 3 to 4 seconds, you don't see all those completions and YAC given up by Diggs, like earlier this season.

Ramsey wishes he was a Cowboy.
Truthfully he thought he was being picked by the cowboys. When they skipped over him he’s been butthurt ever since. He said in an interview he’d never play for the joneses no matter how much they’d pay him.

basically it seems like sour grapes. I think he still is the best corner but to come out and say this is childish.

I don’t like Ramsey either but he’s a heck of a DB.

The guy can be the best corner or safety in the NFL.

He’s the Micah Parsons of defensive backs. He can play anywhere.
Micah parsons right now may be the best defensive player in the nfl. Don’t compare him to Ramsey because you were dead wrong about parsons.

fwiw, Diggs gives up a lower completion percentage than Ramsey

But Diggs gives up about 15.8 yards per catch vs Ramsey's 9.3 yards per catch

Yards per target is a bit better...Diggs is 8.4 yards per target vs Ramsey's 5.5 yards per target

To take things further, comparing Diggs year 2 to Ramsey in 2018 (advanced stats weren't available in 2017 Ramsey's second year, so this was his third year), Ramsey allowed 14 yards per catch and 7.6 yards per target

Ramsey is a diva and a ****** bag. He's jealous of Diggs. Normally game recognizes game. Unfortunately he's a chump and not secure enough to give due credit OR just keep his mouth shut.
I scrolled through his feed but I'm struggling to find the Diggs connection. Maybe he was "referencing" comments in this tweet from RC that were saying Diggs is better, who knows.

That's probably not true. Any GM who knows analytics knows that turnovers are huge. There's no more valuable thing you can do for your team if you play D than get the ball back for your O. I'm sure there'd be some who'd take Ramsey, because his skills are crazy, but there'd be plenty who'd take Diggs too. And, frankly, I think the latter would be the smart ones. Particularly when you factor in Jalen's toxic personality.

and that Diggs is only in his second year and will only get better. Ramsey is who he is by now

I respect Ryan Clark, but Jalen (14 career INTs) is just a souped up version of Byron Jones (4). Dope in coverage but not really a ball hawk.

I'm wondering how many INTs Diggs would have if Tank, Parsons and Randy played all year.

Even with a really good pass rush in front of him, Jalen only has 3 INTs? He's living off of his reputation of locking players down but not registering INTs.

This is part of the reason Jerry didn't pay Byron. But I bet he pays Diggs when the time comes.

Diggs is having a phenomenal year, but INTs get way over hyped. I think Ramsey's normally gets fewer than I want from a CB making that money, but he more than makes up for it with the low total of yards he gives up

So as much as I'm enjoying this run by Diggs, I'll take a sub 11 yards per catch and maybe 5-6 ints and be happy (fwiw, I am very happy now with his play)

INTs, sacks, or forced fumbles are huge my dude. Anytime a defense gets one and gives the ball back to your offense, that's big time. I'm sure these are what I'll call "trigger stats" that are embedded in player's contracts. Meaning if they hit certain stat totals bonuses kick in, etc. They are important my dude.

Byron Jones was lockdown CB for us, but he wasn't a ball hawk, so Jerry let him walk.

Yeah I'm not sure Tre way on Ramsey's mind, but rather speaking to any DB being better than him. I don't think he is jealous of anyone by his talk. Diggs is getting better game by game, so in the near future this debate could be a lot different.

How about Diggs vs Hopkins, D. Smith, Cupp, Evans, D. Adams??? Diggs can still shoot to the top of CB talk even more by dominating these match-ups he may get in the playoffs.

Seems we haven't had a ballhawk for so long I thought we'd never see one on the team again....and the same for sack artists too.

Incredible to be getting both at the right time of the season....rodgers is gonna be a tough one to do either to, though
