Yeah but why replace Randy Gregory when you could replace Connor Williams with the greatest offensive lineman of all time or Biadiscz with the best center in franchise history?
I thought we were adding, not replacing

I'm trying to avoid the endless Dak debates, though I might just be fooling myself. So, you can't pick Staubach, Aikman or any other Cowboys quarterback. Aside from that, which past Cowboy player and his position would you team with this offense or defense.

Me? It's a tie between Charles Haley, Erik Williams, Larry Allen and Emmitt Smith.

I gotta go Emmitt Smith. His durability, reliability and productivity at the running back position would make us a better balanced team and even more dangerous offensively. I'm okay with the pass rush, and although I'd take an upgrade on the offensive line, I think we can get by with the line we have, provided Tyron Smith returns.
However, the lack of a running game concerns me. And I believe we'll have to lean more on that in the playoffs.

But that's my take. What's yours?
Larry Allen.

Imagine Smith, Allen, biadas, Martin and Collins on the OL....that would be a nasty group.

second choice, Woodson to solidify the back 4.....

third choice, Charles Haley.......

He had a private masseuse he was healthy as ever. He didn’t have an offense of line. And that’s no disrespect to Emmett. It’s any running back
Hutchinson, leaf, Wright, stoerner, Jeff Blake, etc were the QBs once the millennium turned. He left at 34, broke a shoulder blade yr 1 away and ran for 930yds and 9tds at 35...with AZ ... in 2004.

LA... I put him on any Cowboys team because he could start on any Cowboys team and any NFL team for that matter from now until football is no longer played.

Emmett did not do too well once he left us. Charles Haley would be my vote, but yeah Dion would be right there

Uhhh, you do realize that by the time Emmitt went to Arizona he had already been in Dallas for 13 seasons, right? He should have already been retired by then, so of course he didn't do so well when he left.

So if you could choose one guy to add to this team right now you would take Emmett I’m taking Charles Haley

Thats cool. Emmitt was the best too.

Jim Brown over Emmitt Smith was a bad take.
Well I explained my position

You didnt explain why you Moss was better than Rice. Im done with Brown/Smith. I want to hear about how Moss is better Rice. This is gonna be epic

Because Randy Moss on his best day is the best WR that’s ever played and it’s not close.

I was a huge Walter Payton fan, but I think I really liked Barry Sanders more. Imagine how dominant he would have been if he had the luxury of an O'line like Emmitt had.

No disrespect to Emmitt, but Barry Sanders would be my pick. He would make Zeke look like an miniscule amateur.
It’s hard to say anything against Emmitt Smith, he is worshiped here. But yes I’ll take Barry I’ll take sweetness I’ll take Earl Campbell I’ll take Riggins before him.
