That's fine whatever it takes to get a fairly officiated game not officiated in our favor but fairly officiated for both teams

I don't think that's too much to ask force the officials to do their freaking job correctly there's certainly enough electronic equipment in today's day and age that there shouldn't be any problem in getting it right

Don't you understand that a "fairly called game" is impossible with you people? Even if there are goofs on both sides, people around here would STILL maximize the ones that happened to us as some conspiracy and minimize the ones that happened to the other team. Take 2016. The refs missed these blatant calls against us. The 1st one was while they were already up 21-3 so if they score on that drive, the game is pretty much over towards the end of the 1st half. Yet, all anyone talks about is the "12 men in the huddle" penalty on Butler, which was announced wrong by the ref but actually the correct call by the rules on substitutions. There can't be a fairly called game on these boards unless we win. When we don't, you get these "theories." Excuses is what they are and when it's a big game, the excuses start even before the game is played, like here.

We could have one of our backup DT's take out a side judge as kind of a warning.....you know, send a message....a "you play fair, we play fair" kind of thing......just saying......

The call followed the rules . It was the Rule which was BS and why it was changed.

In the end we didn’t need the TD on that play. We needed to convert the 4th down and live for the next play.
Yea plus our D could've made the stop next drive too

If the Cowboys face the Packers in the Playoffs, the least of their concerns will be the officiating. Yes, we've been victimized by bad calls, but so has EVERY team in the NFL. The focus should be on QB #12 and how to stop him.. I believe we have the DEFENSE that can disrupt his O-line and cause him to force bad throws into the waiting arms of our defenders. Rodgers has been superb throughout his career in regard to low number of INTs, but a QB'S worst nightmare is a steady dose of a good PASS RUSH and an OPPORTUNISTIC SECONDARY.

So your point is there are bad calls? Or your point is that they are all out to get the Cowboys?
The point is that Green Bay seems to get more than their fair share of calls whether intentional or not. They generally get the benefit of the doubt. Most people that really pay attention notice it.

Great post you hit it people that really pay attention notice this and are not satisfied with how this impacts the game because it does impact the game.
When one team is allowed to hold aggressively and the other team is called very tightly it has a serious impact on the game.
Some posters here will claim that the fans that notice this are the dumbest fans on the planet

They are casual fans that can't accept a pin being put in the balloon of their perfect NFL that in their mind is without corruption or preferential treatment at all times.

More serious fans notice these trends and scenarios and question them as more than just coincidence when it happens over and over again at a certain venue.

If Jerry gets out ahead of this and makes a little noise with some valid examples and we get a more fairly called game or games for that matter all through the playoffs how is that possibly a bad thing

Or we can just win by outplaying them, so that there is no need for excuses
The impact of a well timed holding or PI call can easily negate outolaying a team. Also, it's not like we are that much better than GB that we could just go in there and dominate and not play a close game. It would come down to a few key plays.

no, most people with bias blinders on focus only on those calls that negatively affect their favorite team while dismissing those that help them.

That's all fans everywhere. Extreme focus on the calls that go against their teams while happily compartmentalizing away the calls that went their teams way.

Wrong! I’m not talking about just when they play us. It happens regardless who they play.

@BourbonBalz So have you counted the # of calls/blown calls that seem to go the Packers way, inventoried then number of calls/blown-calls haven't gone the Packer's way and come up with some sort of ratio that backs up your line of thinking?

Is the # of calls going the Packers way

OR

just that critical calls at critical moments are breaking the Packer's way?

I am going to go out a limb and say he did not. I have watched every Packer game since 1978. I can assure you there are calls that go their way and there are calls that dont. I could show you multiple calls that went against the Packers that kept them from advancing in the playoff. Last year the Bucs DB interfereing with Lazard for an intereception. Teh last one was fine except they called a less egregious call against the Packers on an interference call that allowed Tampa to keep the ball at the end. My problem with refs is consistency. If you are not going to call something in quarter one, dont call it in quarter 4. If you are going to let them play, then dont pick and choose what you are going to call. Let them play.

"More serious fans" go looking for evidence to support their preconceptions while ignoring anything that contradicts those preconceptions.

They then think an NFL owner should go whining to the commissioner before a game with "proof" of their preconceptions, while patting themselves on the back for being the smartest guy in the room. :muttley:

I'd laugh too if my answer was no. Lol.

His post is the crux of y'all's whining. You talk and talk about "proof" and yet magically produce nothing but "I saw it. It's obvious if you pay attention." Bigfoot roams the northwest if you'll just stop and pay attention to his groans in the woods when he's out of beer. See? I can produce truth too without presenting anything to support it.
