Can we get 5 new OL right now get them a week of practice and new OC that actually respects and wants to run the ball and sees it as a important part of an offense?

I've parroted this all season, but I am convinced they're telegraphing run/pass. Whether it's formations where they lean heavily one way or another, or a tell among the players, they're tipping their hats.

The only real fixes I see them being able to implement on short notice are: running more from spread/passing formations. Ditch running from jumbo personnel. It's not working.
Run the ball with four wideouts, when the defense can't commit a defender over the top of a TE to expose him. Use more misdirection. Run more to the weakside (the Cowboys never run weak side).
Run the read-option 5-10 times/game

This is on the play caller. And if you think the audibles aren't designed by the same guy, you're wrong.

They played 2 high safeties most of the game. Coaches gotta figure this out or we’ll never be good enough.

When teams can stop your run AND get pressure on your QB with 4 down linemen you're going to struggle on offense. You HAVE to be able to run them out of the deep safety look or hit some short passes and let guys run after the catch. The Cowboys tried the short passing route but the Cards were ready for it and got their hands on 8 or 9 passes at the line of scrimmage when they did. What they didn't try was just chipping away with the run game until the d-line wore down. As long as it was a one score game we should have been continuing to deliver body blows with the running game.. But like Moore says "yards are yards.." So until he is saying that for a different team, we're never going to be a consistent running team.

This is the part that scares me.. Dak, like most QBs, never saw a situation where he thought a pass would not be better than a run. Someone needs to get in his ear and tell him to quit audibling out of runs just because there's a stacked box. If they stack one side then audible to the other side. If they pinch inside then audible to a pitch.. Throwing the ball is not the solution to every problem .. but that's how we are playing football the last two months.
me as well..it got him paid hes addicted want to play the hero. well maybe I dont know im frustrated as all heck!! dak needs to run , more rpos, our Ol needs to run block all of it we just seem lazy at throw it in for good measure!!

most embarrassing run game weve ever had at least from appearances, i could be wrong, i bet some research will show this has to be the least number of attempts in 16 game stretch ever!

I think Kellen Moore would be a hell of a college coach.

Can we just start with Blocking 101.....technique and leverage?

Thing is.. there were a half dozen run plays that had a chance to do something were it not for the backside end completely punking our tight ends and getting in to blow up the play. The way to combat that is to leave the backside tackle to go get that guy or bring the tight end (or a guard) across the formation towards the back side and let him earhole the DE.. but now as I type that I have to wonder if that is even legal anymore?

We were buried I think inside the 5 in quarter # 4 would loved to have seen anyone in the backfield except our blocking FB # 21 . I thought perfect opportunity for 20 to rip a chunk play quick pitch a screen anything ….Pollard must really be hurting long stretches yesterday he was missing .

They need to figure out a way for the defense not to disguise coverage...... a bribe maybe......

I don't care what level he goes to.. so long as he goes. I think he's a smart guy and a brilliant offensive mind.. But what he is NOT is a great game day play caller.. McCarthy needs to take that away from him .. hopefully next year..
We’re on the same page. I’m offering my endorsement for anywhere that’ll take him.

Yeah that's the thing about plantar fasciaitis. It will flare up on your without warning. One minute you will be fine and then out of the blow it will feel like you're running with a knife blade in your shoe. Pollard looked pretty good last week but not quite so much this week. Some of it was the quality of the d-line but I think some of it also was that foot. He was not quite as explosive as we've seen .. All his carries came on one series.. and he never got the ball again except for dump off passes. I think they need to give him another week off Saturday.. Of course they should also be resting Zeke but if that hasn't happened in all this time it probably aint gonna.

heck next year is game 1 playoff, i would just tell KM to quietly step out of the way if were Mm egos aside championships are the goal..if my jobs on the line and rep etc on the line MM should just do it..take this week to start doing it at practice..i know that doesn't happen but man anything would be better to see balance again. KM was doing this up until the bye. What happened??

ughh MM if anything needs to have sit down this week and strongly advise Moore finds better balance, run more tell dak don't audible out of every run game, a meeting is necessary!.

the word complementary football getting as old as PROCESS just do it dont say it do it!

so if our defense gets some TOs we win iof not our offense just gets stoned!!

Bring Jarwin back in. Not better than Shultz. But gives us a stable 2 TE line up Dak is comfy with. Run off tackle and pitch or toss slash sweep plays. We always run up the gut because they expect it. Time to get back to using it as our Offense..

Only problem is our O-Line has no discipline and that’s all coaching. This Line coach has to know he should be gone. We are no longer aggressive..

I keep thinking we have just put it on the shelf until playoff time. Just gonna bring it out and suddenly run outside. Wishful thinking. I am afraid that they just paid a RB money only to use him to block and go straight to a passing team that don’t really have the O-Line or maybe even the QB to do it. We are supposed to have the WR to do it but only when we run the ball does the passing game work.. Time to get balanced and I would stick with it win lose or draw on Saturday.. Force the issue..

O-Line coach needs to go. Honestly if I was the HC I would have no problem doing it now right before the playoff.. This guy can’t coach these particular players. We are worse now then before he came in. To many penalties. That’s coaching. Run outside and set up toss and pitch plays. Off tackle runs work for us. Every week if we hit the outside slot and don’t go right up the gut we get yards but Moore goes right away from it. He is Linehan all over again. If he left after this year I won’t cry. I would just know if I play him I can bring heat on the qb all day.
