We watched Cooper Rush, in his first career start, throw for 330 yards, 2 TDs, and lead us to win in a hostile environment with these weapons for crying out loud.

Many of "us" (we're all fans of the same team, so I'm lumping all of us in together, including me) were saying he was top 5 after the NE game.

Michael Irvin looked Stephen A Smith in the eye after that NE game and said Dak is tops in the league. Over Mahomes. Thought Stephen A was gonna have a coronary.

Look, again, Dak isn't top 5. But he isn't bottom 15 either. He's probably somewhere between 9 and 14. But you cannot deny he shows flashes of top 5. Again, look at early in the season. Philly has a good D. New England has a good D, and a HOF defensive wizard for a HC. And yet Dak beat the great Bill Belichick. TB has a good D, and Dak did pretty darn well on opening night in TB. Just because he's in a slump doesn't mean you can say that what happened in those first dozen games didn't count.

Still think his slump is at least in part to the injury. Just look at Dak's stats pre and post injury. There's a difference.

You over rate the talent on the Cowboys. Before we traded for Coop he was sliding on the Raiders. Better receivers out there. Def better RB and O-line. Hard for fans to except there are teams out there that are better.

Not hard for me, the same way it's not hard for me to accept that their are QBs that could do just as good as Dak on this team.
