Not true. The Cowboys brought in Lirim Hajrullahu to kick the last few preseason games after the previous punter proved he couldn't do it while Zuerlein was out all of training camp and preseason due to offseason surgery. We didn’t so much bring another kicker into camp to tryout and be on-call in case Zuerlein didn’t work out.
The hubris with this franchise.

Hajrullahu performed very well. I thought he would have been signed to the 53 man roster, but Jerry decided to listen to McCarthy, who listened to his old buddy, John "Bones" Fassel who has a man-crush with his old boy, Greg Zuerlein.
Lirim Hajrullahu was brought back for 1 week during the season when Zuerlein was out due to covid infection. Hajrullahu didn't get any FG attempts, but he nailed all 5 of his extra points right down the middle. Plus, all 8 of his kickoffs landed deep into the endzone except for 1 than landed about 2-3 past the goal line.
The following week, Lirim Hajrullahu was cut while Greg Zuerlein was favored once again. Now we see the results.
Why not? Is there any rule or reason to make you think the Cowboys can't or won't make a change at Kicker?Zuerlein’s seat isn’t hot right now because no way are the Cowboys going to make a change heading into the playoffs.
True. Not during training camp, but yes during the preseason. Not during training camp.
Why not? Is there any rule or reason to make you think the Cowboys can't or won't make a change at Kicker?
Zeurlein is a dead man walking if the owner is saying this publicly. Why is he still with the team?
You're wrong.Because there isn’t going to be any one more reliable that’s available in week 18. Kickers are on the street for a reason. I can’t think of any team that replaced their kicker heading into the playoffs. That would be stupid! Zuerlein has yet to miss a clutch kick. He made a game winner and made one that got us into OT. The team will bring in competition for him during the summer.
Who do you suggest that’s available would be better? There’s a reason kickers are unemployed this time of year.
Zuerlein missed his FG in the 1st quarter last week, bro. Cowboys were not trailing by 2 TDs at that point.
You're wrong.
The Cowboys already had Lirim Hajrullahu during the Preseason and for 1 game halfway through this season, so they know he is accurate and reliable.
The Cowboys could bring Hajrullahu in for the playoffs as soon as this coming last regular season weekend finishes since the Panthers (team Hajrullahu currently is kicking for) are not making the playoffs.
Oh I don't know whose available ... I'm just saying, if the owner was talking about me, I'd be nervous to make any more mistakes. Just puts a spotlight on him now. lol
Understood, but the Cowboys were only down 7-0 when Zuerlein missed his FG attempt in the 1st quarter. That killed all momentum. We were trailing 22-7 heading into Erin Andrews making a guest appearance bro .
You know very well why Hajrullahu was let go. It's because of Bones Fassel's infatuation with Greg Zuerlein. Heck, Hajrullahu was good enough for the Cowboys to bring him back and try to hide him on the Practice Squad. Too bad the Panthers stole him from us, so clearly, the Cowboys wanted to keep Hajrullahu. If they know he’s accurate and reliable why isn’t he their kicker now? lHe never even attempted a field goal with us. lol No team brings in a new kicker for the playoffs. Get real!
