Cowboys getting zero respect

This is the bottom line. The team has done little over the last half of the season to earn the fans confidence.

To pretend this team is some sort of slam dunk playoff winner is either very misguided or willfully ignoring the facts. If someone wants to just be a "super positive" fan, that's fine but as long as they acknowledge they are choosing to ignore the concerns.
yes and they do ignore, and just look at the wash and phil games , and the giants and atlanta games.

don't see how MM survives if the cowboys lost at home this game . but jerry has surprised us before with his blind optimism.

He survives because it's year two of a five year contract, and last year was basically a throwaway once Dak went down. They then went 12-5 and earned a 3 seed.

He's not getting fired after this season, win or lose on Sunday.

this morning on GMF. The whole panel basically thinks they are losing this week. Saying pretty much same old Cowboys. Said they really didn't beat anyone this season. Until the Cowboys make a playoff run this will always be the narrative and it should. Here's to hoping they finally shut some people up because the truth does hurt.

They don't deserve respect. They always screw up in the playoffs. Great players can get you into the playoffs but great coaches are usually needed to win in the playoffs. The postseason = chess but the cowboys only know how to play checkers.

Agreed.

Take the Cowboys folks. They may have trouble in the divisional round, but over the past 10+ seasons, not in the WC round when at home. Philly comes to mind, also Detroit, more recently the Seahawks.

Yes, they even beat Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson at home in the WC round.

Dallas wins Sunday. Put that in 3" headlines. Homage to Jimmy and the 1993 (Jan '94) NFC Championship game at home against, you guessed it, the 49ers.

The bottom line is pretty much any team in the playoffs will be really good at something.. Some we be good at several things.. The question is which team will be better at what they do on gameday than the other team is at what they do. The 49ers strengths are Deebo Samuel, running game and defensive line.. I believe Diggs can at least slow Samuel down.. with acknowledgement that he's too good and they are too creative getting him the ball to just shut him down.. Their running game is amazing.. The Cowboys run defense has been suspect at times.. but they played almost the entire season without their two best DTs.. If Stafford doesn't hand them the game against the Rams they're watching TV this weekend.. People need to stop with their greatness.

That's right. Someone needs to remind you "fans" which team you're supposed to be a "fan" of.

You are fighting a cyclical battle. No one wins this battle. If you wanted to see fewer of the trolls or obsessively negative, you would utilize the ignore feature much more.

Many of the posters here, say they wish more posters showed better fandom but that won’t change anyone’s stance. You guys enjoy the incessant sniping and banter. It makes up an enormous amount of the content here.

Respectfully disagree. Guys like Diggs and Parsons, MM, Quinn, and KM do not know what you speak of, because they weren't here when Dallas would "always screw up" in the playoffs. And by "always", again, they've done well at home in the WC round.

You guys want to bury this Cowboys team, fine. You'll get your chance in the divisional round, and if not that, then the NFCCG.

But aren't you all FANS?? Why can't some of you just enjoy the ride? Team was 12-5 with the most points scored in the NFL (530), the most takeaways, and the 2nd best point differential behind the Bills.

Just enjoy the ride. Goodness.

They can be scared, you can be scared.

I am not scared.

We win or we lose. No use in being "scared" about it.

Heck with the way some act on here we should not even show up to the game and just forfeit.
Bench them all some can enjoy the week...

We earned all that doubt, same ol'cowboys yada, yada, yada....25 plus years of playoff futility will do that to a team....hopefully it changes this year....this is our best team in a long time on offense and defense...lets hope we change everyone's opinion....

dallas has to earn respect, so do most of the other teams.
it starts by winning in wc round.

I had to laugh at the fools on Get Up today. They were showing how Dallas was undefeated against the East and 6-5 vs all else as if to be dismissive of their success.
First of all the Eagles are a playoff team. So the boys played the Giants and Skins 2 times each

But the Packers played the Bears and Lions 2 times each
The Titans played the Jags and Texans 2 times each
The Buccs played the Falcons and Panthers 2 x each

This happens in several divisions every year. Why single out Dallas. The Patriots made two decades of success on pumping up a good record in a bad division

smh

I like when they doubt us, hopefully it passes the players off too and actually show up and play to their capabilities

To be honest if we lose they are right. Even if we win and get blown out in TB to me it’s still same old cowboys. Happy with a single playoff win.

The standard for this team should be NFC championship at least… every year.

We’re probably one of the most talented teams in the playoffs. One of our most talented teams in a while. If we lose cause of mistakes and Poor coaching its definitely same old cowboys

so you expect us to lay an egg because we usually do but if we do you will blame the refs and the media?

sounds about right

I said weeks ago that this team will go as far as the Oline and Dline take us. Playoffs are won in the trenches.

And when Dallas stomps the Niners they’re all gonna blame Gorrapo-lame’s thumb. This team will have to make the NFC Title game to earn respect.
