Seems so. He’s an interior lineman so there’s a chance he slips into the 20’s. But unless we’re one and done I think he’ll be just out of our range.

Great trade up option if we have some compensatory picks to play with though.

i see...draft weekend often has suprises?

Looking at that one could argue that alabama has peaked and might be starting to slide.

I think they were runner-up in most of the ones they didn't win.
And will be pre-season #1 in 2022.
It's nuts.

I hope it's not the case, but the dominant program that might slide is Clemson. Hope not.
If they upgrade QB they might get back on track.

I counted 15 total there by the way

Its called statistical trends. you might have heard of it....
Alabama has made 7 out of the 8 college football playoffs.
Alabama has played in 6 out of the last 7 championship games.
Alabama has won 3 out of the last 7 championship games.

I'm sorry if I don't see this magical "trend" or "starting to slide" that you see.

Alabama should enter the year ranked 1st pre-season.
They were down in 2021 (from their insane standard) because they just lacked any experience.
But most of those guys are coming back and will be better in 2022.
Plus the system says if they lose only 1 game they are going to get a 1 seed.
They've earned the advantage but let's not ignore it or pretend it doesn't exist.
Saban always has the defense covered but offense can be a bit spotty depending upon the OC and that has been changing out to varying results.

Its' still the best program in the sport by a wide margin.
Now for the love of all that is holy stop buying games from complete scrub teams and go play meaningful games every week, you'll be favored by 15+ anyways.

Clemson is going to be the one to watch as DFWJC pointed out.
Brett Venables is a top 5 DC and you lose that and some other stuff on a down year.
Offense has been reliant on top 5 QB play and that's tough to keep on campus.
BUT they can stay on top with the ACC being very winnable for them yearly.
They play meaningful non conf games but the conf has a lot of "bye weeks" style games.

UGA and A&M are eating into their recruiting. Now Texas is picking it up too.

This was the worst team Alabama has put on the field since Saban's first year at Bama. The defense was terrible. You won't see any first round picks in this NFL Draft coming from that defense.

That said, one would be a fool to bet against Saban.
