Dak should have known to hand the ball to the ref not the center. He also had no clock in his head to get down sooner. Again, he’s light between the ears.
There was no officials near him when he got up. The refs were the ones who screwed up there.

Why are we body blocking the ref instead of giving him the ball? Imagine blaming him, when he's shoving our own dumb players out of the way so he can do his job.
That ref was at least 15 yards away when the Cowboys were lined up at the line of scrimmage.

Doesn't matter. You hand the ball to the ref. Watch any play and you see QBs, WRs, TEs, RBs, doing this time and again. Just watched Big Ben toss it at half. It's muscle memory. He wasn't thinking and that's a combination his poor football IQ and coaching.

You can tell in the first 10 minutes-couple of drives if the Cowboys are gonna win, they made it interesting as usual, but ya knew they would lose.
Yup. Some days the offense just looks like crap. They sometimes turn it around and make it interesting, but we usually lose.

Go watch the replay there was nobody to hand the ball to. And normally if the center spots the ball the ref just touches it and let them snap it in those situations.

BS.

The ref was a few feet from the line when the Cowboys were getting lined up.

I've seen smart teams line up but let the ref in to spot the ball and then the center squats and snaps.

Our battery of dunces thought they could line up and snap it themselves.

Don't know what you don't get. The rule says the ref needs to touch the ball. End of story. It's his job to find the ref. I have seen it a hundred times before. Dak should have sprinted to him.

When Dak slid.

Go watch every game ever. In none of them will you find it takes a ref 8 seconds to spot the ball.

None!
I think it does take that long when the players try to reset and snap it without letting the ref spot the ball. And they blocked him from getting there.

With all due respect... who the *** cares?

At that point we were hoping for a miracle. We had our opportunity with our second to last drive, and we blew it tremendously.

We could not have asked for a better opportunity.

No warner. No Bosa. 3 Timeouts. The 2 minute warning. And we had already made it to the 50.

The play selection was monumentally stupid following that.

you call it play selection because you want to ignore the obvious

that drive is on the QB

he needs to take charge

we have an average one

And all season in the same situations the refs would have been there long before this guy was and instead of grabbing the qb and then moving the ball they would just touch it and let them snap it.

Show an example from this year with the same circumstances.

the ball should have been set further back but he the players were in the way, even if the ref was there it would have taken 2 or 3 seconds to get the whole damn team to back up .

These hurt homers also seem to think the center can just spot the ball and line up wherever he wants, lool.
