Soooo no real changes coming? No surprise.

What Jerry and Stephen need to do is do the opposite of what their gut tells them.

McCarthy is an average HC that the Jones boys hired because they believed Big Mike when he said he changed the way he coached after leaving the game for a few years. It's clear he has not. He still struggles with end of half, end of game, clock management situations, for example. It should surprise ZERO people that our season ended on a strange play that was questionable from a clock management perspective. It should also not surprise anyone that McCarthy's apparent understanding of the protocols in that situation was bit off too.

Jerry and Stephen need to go outside the comfort zone. Fire McCarthy and bring in a guy who is going to demand more control. For 25 years, the Jones family has run the Cowboys in a way where they exert all control and what they want is a coach who will fall in line with their vision of how the Cowboys should work. And it's been a a complete failure. They haven't sniffed a NFC Title game since Switzer took the team Jimmy and Jerry built to the SB.

That dynamic in the 90s - "Jimmy & Jerry" - resulted in a great run. But Jerry doesn't like sharing the billboard with anyone. So it couldn't be - "Jerry & Harbaugh", or "Jerry & Reid".............. it has to be "Jerry". That's it.

Until Jerry and Stephen accept how they have run things hasn't worked, and frankly from a historical perspective, failed, nothing will change. They'll float in purgatory bouncing between just bad enough to miss the playoffs to just good enough to make only to get bounced by a team with a pulse.

I mean it is an improvement. It took Garrett until his 4th season to win the division and a playoff game, Mike has won the division in his second season here.

Right? If yesterday taught me anything, it’s that we’re really killing it with the preparation and the decision making.

Had nothing to do with what I said lol, Mike has accomplished more in two seasons than Garrett in two seasons

We can put aside the comparisons of the two starting rosters. He’s absolutely killing it.

For all his faults Jerry is funny and likeable. I loathe Stephen Jones.

As I sait in another thread. They coulld go 15-2 next year under MM, get the bye and I would still be confident they'd mess something up in the first round.

Ridiculous level of play yesterday.

The worst part about it. We probably will go to an NFC championship game in the future based on pure luck and Jerry will call it a success. The standard for this franchise has hit an all time low.

I’m absolutely convinced Jerry and Stephen just don’t want to have to do the work to find a good football coach and/or have absolutely no idea what to look for.

This team isn’t sniffing an NFCCG for a long time unless it’s sheer luck. This was honestly the best collection of talent this team has had in a long time and they’re too financially strapped to keep it together, let alone improve it.

The ongoing issue in Dallas is that it's not really about doing whatever it takes to win; it's about validating the football acument of the Jones family.

Firing McCarthy would be the Jones admitting that they blew yet another football decision.

McCarthy was never the best man or biggest name avilable. He was the biggest anme who wouldn't challenge the hierarchy.

The man lied to them, and shortly after admitted he lied to them. The Jnes family (conststantly lying to themselves) had no issue with one of their employees publicly admitting he lied to get the job.
:hammer:.....spot on

I’m fine with MM staying but Moore needs to be canned by dinner time.

Problem is the Jones still love Kellen moore ,,,, they made up their minds that he is sean payton 2.0 .... and it will be interesting if Moore does not get an HC gig elsewhere

Oh, he is our next HC for sure…..probably after next season. Jerry is the only owner stupid enough to make him a head coach this early. That will be when I take my Dallas Cowboys sabbatical

Well u can kiss next year goodbye if Jerry & Stephen are perfectly content with McCarthy. Next year will be a repeat of this season AND THEN Jerry will fire McCarthy. Of course by then we will of lost Quinn and a number of good players and Prescott will get traded and Jerry will go get JOHNNY MANZEL and we’ll have to watch that circus for a couple years and on and on and on ….. nothing changes if nothing changes.

Not only next year but then when MM is gone it’ll be Moore. It’s so disgusting we have to sit through this because of one mans ego.

Get a normal coach in here. Nothing is going to change next year.

I used to have hope for Stephen, but he's a lost cause too. Has gone nose blind....being too close to the stench will do that to you. Hoping for another offspring to come to their senses and do the wise thing. Slim as it is. That is all we got.
