Grades are much lower against good competition. Shocking I know.

I don't think we have had any consistency at this position since John Randle.
We have a philosophical issue with the position. Stephen thinks it's innovative to go with two 3Tech types because he bought into Marinelli's outdated beliefs. He'd rather be right than good. He is neither.

PFF is a joke and I proved it with my Oline thread. LVE that low? Lol. He had 13 tackles yesterday. And I don’t even like LVE……

I and not a fan of LVE, but I thought he played his best game of the year. He was horrible most of the year, but seemed to start playing better the last 3 or 4 games (not great, just close to average), but yesterday I thought he a good game. I'd still let him walk. And something was off with Gregory, he lined up offsides all day. The pot smoking seems to fit.

depressing when you see "worst grade of the year" or "second worse grade of the year" and it was the most important game of the year.

I also agree with you, I think Gregory was high as a kite. Thanks for posting the data.
I still can't figure out why Gregory tackled that offensive lineman on the play he got flagged for holding.

Yea man replace a rookie 3rd round pick instantly! Let’s get 4 all pros!

He gets another year to improve. I understand that, but lets not pretend he was good this year. Deluding ourselves does no good and results in poor decisions like hanging onto tristy for 3 years.

I made a post weeks ago saying we will go as far as our Oline takes us. No doubt they were the worst problem the second half of the year. Couldn't run block, couldn't pass block. Fire the oline coach yesterday!

Sad thing is, OL was a huge problem that game while our starters were all fairly healthy vs a 49ers team missing 2 key defenders.

Not sure how we address that issue when we are losing so many people this off-season.

I still can't figure out why Gregory tackled that offensive lineman on the play he got flagged for holding.
And then he acted surprised he got flagged. What did he expect? Can't win with dumb players.

You proved it? lol

We lead the league in scoring and total yards. The OL was a huge part of that success.
You just don't understand what they are doing or how it differs from a fans impression.

Who cares what the offense led in. Inflated numbers vs a crap division as far as i am concerned. Anyone who watched this team play after Denver knows how inconsistent this offense became.

We scored 1 freaking TD through almost 3 quarters vs the 49ers..... ONE

Meanwhile the Rams, Chiefs and Bucs are scoring left and right.

Oline needs a infusion of talent along with the DL and LB.

PFF grades are a joke!!!!!

The offensive lineman played way worse than the defensive tackles, but that’s not what PFF says!

Keep underestimating (and really not understanding) this position and we will continue to not be effective or make critical stops against power running teams.
This comment is a joke!

The defense made plenty of key stops. They did not play great, but they definitely played good enough for us to win. They forced the Niners into 3 FG’s ( two long FG’s) and only gave up 23 points. Our Offense averaged almost 31 points a game. They score 24 and we win.

Our defense was actually pretty good, while our offense sucked. Our offense, failed to take advantage of Bosa and Warner being out. Probably their 2 best defenders!

By what measure? He's a 280 lb DT. He got pushed around most of the year.
Go back and watch the first 6 games of the season. Gallimore was out an Osi got too many snaps. The rookie wall came and Osi lost strength
Like Gallimore Osi will be stronger next year. He did pretty good this year. Thank god we had him.

I'm just saying when everything was on the line, he put his balls on the table and dragged Deebo down. Gave you a chance.

Everyone else on defense was freelancing, committing goofy penalties, avoiding tackles, and getting washed out of plays. LVE has been awful most of this season, just giving the kid credit where it's due.
That was a great play!

He played pretty well. He is to easily blocked out of plays. He does not take on blockers as physically as he needs to. This may be due to his neck injury. In his rookie year he was much more physical at the point of contact!
