.... you let the defense punch the line in the mouth 50 times"

Listening to Nate on HWTB podcast and he echoed a lot of what I have been saying about our offense specifically with regard to the pass/run ratio and the blocking schemes. He reiterated that our guys are too good a players to keep looking this bad. Basically stating that the blocking schemes are too passive and gives the defensive front all the advantage even in the run game because we stand up and absorb the hit even on running plays for the most part. I get the theory behind it.. You try to make all the plays look the same so as not to tip things to the defense.. but guess what.. the goal of the defensive line is to stalemate the offensive line and find the ball. If you stand up and don't drive them they can go find the ball without exerting a lot of energy.. and when they see it's a pass they can go hunt your QB. When they see it's run, unless they are complete chumps they are already in position to make the tackle... or the backside guy who just threw your tight end out of the way will.

Even the toughest guy on the block will eventually get knocked out if you let the other guy punch him over and over without letting him punch back. This team needs to get back to punching the defense in the mouth.. Period..
So basically you are saying Jonesboys OL should play like the 49ers OL. Problem is they have Shanahan and Jonesboys have another Boy Genius (see Garrett rinse and repeat).

Landry ran the ball and threw to the RBs, Reeves ran the ball and threw to the RBs, Turner ran the ball and threw to the RBs, Peyton ran the ball and threw to the RBs, and Callahan ran the ball and threw to the RBs. Why? it stops defenses from dropping back sitting on your WRs.

The Jonesboys problem is in that suite at AT&T Stadium with his family looking down in bewilderment the last 26 years.

I used the word "afterthought" the other day to refer to the running game and it still feels that way. It's not treated as important, just mixed as a way to set up passes.

They end up being one dimensional, which is always easier for a good team to slow down than a balanced offense.

Scoring a bunch of points against bad teams seems to provide a false sense of confidence of what they can do against good ones.

When a team primarily brings 4 defenders to the QB and we STILL can't run the ball or better yet WON'T that is a clear example of not holding rushing the ball important.

Well, big Mike was able to fix the defense and improve the team this season.. Maybe he can keep those things working well and fix the other issues this coming season? Well, I know it doesn't fit the narrative, but it is a possibility. Sure it was Quinn that revamped the defense, but he was hired on Mike's watch after firing his homie Mike Nolan.. Think about it, whether we want to admit it or not, the needle is pointing up, maybe it is a three year plan here that gets us back in contention? Think about it, we had to fix the defense because it was horrible, maybe the online gets a major overhaul as well as the running game... I don't think were that many tweaks away from being able to fix this thing... I know we have expiring and boated contracts, but I know Jerry is good at manipulating the cap and restructuring.. I expect us to lose many players, but possibly bring in ones that can really help. I think we're getting better at bringing in the right players, I think we should improve each year.

Nate transported "plants". The same plants people legally sale everyday in shops, now. Nate was just ahead of his time haha.
Wasn't legal when he did it......I get it, vodka is probably worse than pot.....

I like that take.

I don't like running from shotgun. We do it a lot because we don't pass enough from under center. When Dak is under center it's a run or playaction. If he could start taking 5-7 step drops from under center it would really help the running game. They're too predictable from that look.

I don't think Pollard was as healthy as they said. SF never got so far ahead that they should've abandoned it. But the penalties put them in bad situations, too.

The guy was arrested for transporting drugs....I have ZERO respect for him..

In this case Nate may be right, but as a general rule he doesn’t come across as all that bright. Mostly just Yogi Berra “isms”. I do t put much stock into what Nate says about anything.

Even a broken clock is right twice per day. That doesn’t mean that you give it any more credence than a broken clock deserves.

I thought the same thing, then I started 2nd guessing while in the hell didn't they pick up some RB help with both having tears early on? But then again, does it even matter who starts, gets carries or is on the roster when you abandon it?
