If we’re talking about coming into the league I would say Dak was better. But a mature more confident Romo was and will always be better than Dak. It’s unfortunate that it took Romo so long to get mentally right and by then his body broke. But I’ll go to my grave saying 2014 Romo was the best qb we’ve had since Aikman.

Dak should know how to get his playmakers the ball, he shouldn’t need to be told to do it.. that’s Daks biggest problem, he’s a system qb. Romo was doing everything with a puppet coach.. I mean half the plays were killed at the line then boom a pass to Witten or toss up to Dez( the best player what a surprise).

Two very different quarterbacks. Better hall. Prescott doesn’t Choke. Romo saw the field better. I’ll take Prescott any day over Romo

And Romo was so beaten up at the end of his career that I think he's better off in the broadcast booth and selling Sketchers. He broke his clavicle three times. Romo was an excellent passer but it was hard to keep him healthy.

Although Sketchers are some ugly shoes in my humble opinion.

I agree Romo broke down at the end for sure but you need to check on Dak a little bit closer to see how healthy he has been lately. Leg blew up last year. Calf blew up this year. At some point you gotta be concerned.

I was livid when Romo wasn't even given a chance to compete in 16 and basically tossed to the curb like yesterday's trash. I mean Romo had his bad games. But to me,Tony was definitely a smarter QB as well as a better passer. Seemed to make lesser WRs better. Dak should be all world with this talent and he's not. He's an average QB propped up by the talent of the roster. Give him lesser receivers he's below average.
You're an idiot! I don't know why anyone would think Romo was ever better than Dak as a rookie. He certainly never achieved more than Dak as a rookie.

That don’t fit but use any name you wish it don’t change the point. They are simply 2 sides of same coin both failures for different reasons and this whole who’s better bull crap has no relevance they both suck 1-3 in first 6 years in playoffs

He was for sure breaking down...especially that back. Too bad, because he was so much better late in his career than earlier, overall.

I think both Tony and Dak have missed about the same number of games through this many games as starters though.

The good news for Dak is that 5-6 years in, his team looks pretty strong.
On the other hand, the team around Romo 5-6 years in was in full nosedive and at its worst
So he started taking a monstrous beating for about 3-4 years before they got it back under control in 2014. By then, the toll was pretty heavy.

Imma leave this here...

Looks like Romo faced a lot of pressure from the Dline, like Dak, but difference was Romo moves in the pocket so well and quickly finds a target. I have seen Dak move in the pocket but he usually runs into sacks. Dak also likes to spin away to his left, but he spins into pressure instead of stepping up.

Romo did have some great #1 at various points of his career. Terry Glenn was Clutch, He had TO, And before all the Hamstrings Injuries Miles Austin looked like he would have done better here than TO, and then of course Dez. But Romo never had a worthy number 2 and number three like you have now. For the longest time I thought that Dez was going to be more like Alvin Harper than Irvin, one big play maybe in a game and then you wouldn't hear from him again. I think he did elevate in 2014, but never was the same after the injury.

Romo had Terry Glenn for 2006, and two games in 2007, when he was done because of a knee injury.

Yeah, Romo did worse in the playoffs with better blocking. Romo never was sacked 5 times and hit 14 times while throwing for 2 TDs in any playoff game he ever played in, yet y'all say Dak is the problem?

Put the personal hate aside and understand what is truly the problem. It's not the QB.

Romo was sacked 6 times and hit 10 times against the Lions in the 2014 playoff game, and somehow managed to throw for 293 yards with two touchdowns and a 114 QB rating. And, they won.

Prescott did get hit a lot and was under a lot of pressure this past game. He was also absolutely awful in the game, and did nothing to elevate his team.
