I feel pretty much the same way I did when chokemo was the qb
It’s not all his fault but he ain’t the solution. A lot of crap needs fixed including the qb position but his contract makes it hard to get rid of him
I would not be opposed to competition in camp don’t just hand the job to Dak

I don’t think rush is an answer but heck he or Will Greer can’t be worse

it won’t bother me 1 bit if 40 mil holds clipboard

Yes another Dak thread. Whether you're a fan of Prescott as our QB or not, he is not going anywhere until his contract ends in 2024. So I got a question, if Dak comes to the end of his contract and we have not at least gotten to the Championship game during that timeframe, would you extend him? He would be 31 entering that season, not too old in today's NFL but he would have lost some of his mobility by that time, it's gonna be an interesting decision when that time comes.
Dak will be extended, Jerry will stick with him so a great D needs to be built and a lot better HC needs to be hired, simple as that.

You're right. But they still have to fix what's wrong with this offense. This offense can't score until they're down by double digit points to most teams that aren't terrible. I'm not even talking about teams with good defenses. Raiders, Cards, Broncos........A better head coach? Maybe. Or a different OC. I'm hoping Moore goes to greener pastures.

Can we get threw the first contract? I would be looking for the next QB so they can actually have options when his contract is up. If he hasn’t brought you anywhere then you have a replacement instead of being backed into a corner again.

MM is supposed to be a O minded coach he did nothing, imho MM just like JG and is holding the team back more than anyone or anything.

In hindsight I agree. At first I thought he wasn't so bad, we're 12-5. But that's mainly due to the D and Quinn. Our offense has had this same pattern going on since 2019 and it hasn't changed with BigMac.

I really would like to see MM fired, he's not the answer he a big part of the problem. What does it hurt to change at this point, this team can win with Dak but not with MM and JG type HC's.

I think the only thing that could push him to do that is if he had a solid guy in mind. Like Sean Peyton. I don't think he's going to move on otherwise.

You are most likely correct.

I'd move on from him TODAY if I could and start looking for the real solution at QB.
The sooner the above becomes a reality the higher the odds for a championship.
Anyone who believes this team (no matter how good the defense is) is winning anything with Prescott is in fantasy land.
Can you say "Deer in the headlights or do you need more Kurt and various videos of his total ineptness at the position.

Jerry dove in headlong. He set everything up for Dak to be here long term, and now it's going to be restrictive to move on even if he wanted to. He has to restructure his contract next year. That keeps him on the team longer and compels Jerry to sign him even further. That's how it's set up, and that's how committed he is to Dak. Sorry, but Dak is likely to be here at minimum 5 more years. It's either that or Jerry decides to tank the next two years and cut Dak after 2023. Do you think Jerry is ready to do that? I don't.

Jerry's hourglass is almost empty he's not going to change much, he committed to Dak in 2016 and nothing will change Jerry is still wishing on a star and hiring HC's who best trait is saying yes Mr. Jones you are right.

I think Dak is an inspiration and motivator for this team. I would certainly retain him after this contract is up.

I would release Rowdy and offer Dak his job.

The only way I move on from Dak in 2024 is if a viable replacement is on the roster. 16-17 game starters that get you to the play-offs in the NFL don't grow on trees.

Pretty he's already on his second contract.

I would not give him a third contract.

The Cowboys could well be an 8-9 team next year. That is when you make a big move up to draft a QB in the top of the 1st round of 2023.

You hit on target here. Had 2016 not happened, Dak would not be on this team. I'm sure in some alternate universe there was a Romo/Zeke season. Not sure how that turned out.
