It’s funny how people here think being over the cap means the sky is falling, as if Dallas (or any team for that matter) hasn’t had cap issues before and gotten under the cap by the deadline.
If the situation were reversed and had tons of cap room, people here would be malding because we overspent on a player (internal or free agency) - see: Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, Demarcus Lawrence, Zeke, etc. I know Cooper was a trade but he still costs tons of money for a WR.
The guys we lose in Free Agency are not worth the cost it would be to keep them anyway. Like Gallup… dude is a solid receiver and a favorite of mine. I hope we can keep him, but if he costs too much money then I am NOT in favor of overcompensating a guy coming off a huge injury that might not even be ready by the season opener.

I’m less worried about the cap situation and more worried about the draft. If we don’t draft OL first round, expect another season like 2021 or worse. Dak will be running around like a headless chicken versus playoff teams and Zeke will be averaging 2.5-3 YPC while Pollard comes in for only 5 runs/game.
