He reminds me of mcnabb. Maybe he could pass from more angles with less weight. I also think cooper needs to drop 10 pounds.
Might be onto something there, ever looked at Brady or Rodgers' arms? Brady's wife has more muscle in her arms. Drew Brees has little girl arms.He reminds me of mcnabb. Maybe he could pass from more angles with less weight. I also think cooper needs to drop 10 pounds.
He looked huge as a rookie. He’a definitely lost some weight/BF.I think he looked in much better shape as a rookie than he does now.
I don't know if it's muscle or chunkiness, but he has gained a few.
Him and Zeke have been on the same diet since 2016 it seems, fatter and more unathletic every year.
Really? He looked huge as a rookie. He’a definitely lost some weight/BF.

IMO… it’s not accuracy that is the issue. It’s Dak’s lack of anticipation that is more the problem.
Throws have to be “on schedule” in the NFL. We hear about QBs “throwing WRs open.” It’s because they throw to a spot and anticipate exactly where the WR will be on the field— and when he will be there.
I think Dak struggles with delivering the ball on time because he doesn’t trust what he is seeing fully. If he doesn’t see a guy “open” then he holds the ball—- vs throwing to a spot and trusting his guy will be there.
To the observer— it looks like Dak is not accurate because passes are “off target.” Yes— they are off target. But is it because Dak can’t place a ball where he wants it (physical talent issue) or because he is holding the ball and his timing/anticipation is off (awareness/mentality issue)?
I suppose it could be a bit of both— but to me, Dak hesitates too much and is off schedule with his WRs. If they aren’t exactly where they are supposed to be as route runners— then they obviously share some of the blame as well
Awhile ago there was a throwing contest between Dak and Raiders QB Carr. The Raiders QB thrashed him.
Aikman was great at throwing WR’s open as he could count on there being at “ the spot”. As stated I agree Dak doesn’t trust that so he waits for someone he feels comfortable getting the ball to.
He needs an OC that can scheme guys to be “ more open” as many other teams do......
Also we see very few quick slants like other teams , I think for the same reason. You need to throw a little ahead of the receiver and Dak fears the Int instead of the completion.

no. its his bad footwork. first half of season and in 2020, his footwork was really good, which gave him consistent release point in his throws allowing him to put the ball where he wanted to...second half this season, his footwork was poor. his feet were parallel, he was lifting his back leg before the throw, he was putting upper body english into the throws to give it more zip and his release point was inaccurate, that's why sometimes the ball sailed, sometimes hit the ground, etc. his deeper throws if you watched he would put a lot of upper body english to get the ball out with zip, but his velocity was down, thus his throws were often behind the WR....he just couldn't get the ball there when he wanted (right placement, a little late). He reminds me of mcnabb. Maybe he could pass from more angles with less weight. I also think cooper needs to drop 10 pounds.
the lack of anticipation in my opinion is result of him not trusting himself to put the ball where it needs to go and when, so he holds on to the ball too long. its direct result of his accuracy issues later in the year.IMO… it’s not accuracy that is the issue. It’s Dak’s lack of anticipation that is more the problem.
