After watching Aaron Donald we could really use something similar

Outside of being a fan of a particular team, there are some guys you just can’t hate and love watching no matter what team they play for, because of how they play the game. They are so good that even if you hate the team they play for, they warn your respect because of their greatness. Aaron Donald is one of them.

He came up big deep in the 4th quarter when he was needed.

Yeah, I tend to agree. We could use the best DT of a generation.

The only problem is there is only one of him and he is in the same class as Lawrence Taylor was in his time, the best player in the NFL. Many teams tried to find another Taylor and only KC was able to come close with Derrick Thomas. Close, but not there.

As long as the Cowboys view the DT position as fill in and "war daddy" is the thing, they will suffer against the run when teams choose to use it.

Dallas wanted him in the draft badly. Think he and Anthony Barr and Shazier were the guys we were enamored by at the time.

...more like Rams let McVey do the tinkering. Traded big for Stafford, Becky, von miller..etc. It paid off.

We don't look for Aaron Donald types.
we look for blue light specials in the bargain bin. Then Stevie and Jerry wonders what happened after we fail to stop the run. lol. Its called willful complicity in creating the very problem that u claim u had 0 idea existed...then Booger and son act surprised and "mad" when they call in to these radio shows...WASH RINSE REPEAT.

It paid off. But win or lose, this screws the Rams for years to come. Its a terrible business model by Kronke. BTW...if the easy "faircatch" int is made by Tarrt....it changes the entire game and likely outcome. What would we be saying about McVey then? He escaped yesterday with the W. Niners had them on the ropes. Miller and AD wasnt doing anything. If the Rams play like that in the SB, they will get beat. They did just enuff to not lose.

You have been advocating for a big space eating nose tackle for at least a decade. Aaron Donald is not a space eating nose tackle. He is actually undersized which is why he lasted until pick 13. Nobody saw this kind of domination coming from a dude his size.
We agree. We need a freaky fatty that eats blocks.

And a shorter UT who can get leverage.

Not true at all. I saw this domination coming.

Well, believe it or not, he was the 5th defensive player chosen. He was a first round pick so people thought he would be good, but not first ballot HOF good.

Does anybody other than me get the feeling that we could really use something similar to that in the middle of our defensive line.
Is there a reason why we can't use a high draft pick on a player that can impact the game like that. He isn't even a real big guy 6-1. 284. This guy has a motor that just won't stop

I don't even think Jerry's horrible culture could stop this guy's motor

Thoughts???
I agree. We definetly need a HOF DT. Let's draft one this year, because they apparently Aaron Donald's are available every year.

"Donald led the FBS in sacks and put on a clinic in the Senior Bowl w/ his high revving motor and cat-like quickness."

I don't rate players on whether I think they make the HOF or not. I thought Donald would be a topnotch interior pass rushing fiend. So, yeah, I can say I did think that.

Absolutely

In order to have a really good Defense need a stud in the secondary (Diggs) Stud at LB (parsons) and a stud in the middle of that defensive line (MISSING)
