Rating Dak

Anybody who rates him above average in any category I suggest you take these off and watch a little closer next time. Even Danny White constantly complains about him not hitting runners in stride on the national radio broadcast.

I mean his arm talent & pocket awareness could be rated as negative values. So yeah, anything over about a 3 on those is baffling.
Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, arm talent is "arm" talent. Not when he is unpressured, gets his whole body mechanics correct and generates power from the ground up. That is good technique not arm talent.

The trouble with Dak is the high variance in all of those. Sometimes just great. And then there are games like SF.

I think the ankle injury was a big deal for him. Left him much less room for poor mechanics, and limited his ability to throw on the move.

Dak is a front runner

If he starts off great and all the other pieces of the team are working great and we have the lead, he’ll be great but if the wheels start to come off and he comes under pressure or there is a penalty or 2 or the WR drops a ball then he does not have the capability to rally the troops and “put the team on his shoulders” and win

that’s what you need from a QB being paid like an elite QB

of course and he has been scrutinized.... and is still and will be.

but Dak is not the only issue....there are many other issues with this team that need resolved, like middle of OL, run defense, penalties, Moore, our FAs, amount of YAC (second in the league). inability to make stops on third down, GM.

I would think the thread title alone would keep one who is tired of the Dak talk from engaging in the Dak talk.

same reason you are doing it........I am just wondering about the mindset of doing the exact same thing for 6 years, with exact same posts, comments....I find it interesting psychologically....

he hasn't taken up 20% of the cap...last year the number was 17M, which is less than 10%.

but I know people worry about few years into the future and the dead cap money...but that's a few years away.....

and all I read is complaints....no one has offered any solution or alternative except idiotic comments like lets put Rush in...he won a game!!!

do we just give up on this team succeeding or do we find ways to fix it.....I find that to be more relevant and interesting than beating a dead horse 100 different ways, with the same sticks

I mean he played twice on a one year prove we want you deal....at that point there is only one side to blame for his contract if you dont like it. He never held them hostage.

Edit: the second year he broke his ankle right...again they held all the cards, Like him dont like him either way his contract is on the FO not him.
