Problem is there is still too many layups on the schedule to not win around 8-9 games.

Also the division is so brutal that may win it, and they can keep patting themselves on the back, and scratching their heads as to why they are usually outcoached by the better staffs.

The division should be significantly better next year.

Fact ........it's why I laugh when posters talk of going after other teams free agents. Brandon Carr was the last FA to get a big-time contract from Stephen Jones in 2012, 10 years ago.

I hate the two idiots at the top. We bypass free agents to “pay our own”, but who is the last player we re-signed to a huge deal that truly is deserving that pay? Zack Martin?

Trust me, when Jerrys pockets take a hit from fans lack of financial support, he will make a change
Brother we have been saying that for 20 years and Jerrah is sticking the spikes in deeper. There is only one way he would relinquish power.:angry:

Folks, my advice to my fellow Cowboy fans is - manage your expectations by keeping them lower than a worms belly. No sense in being upset no sense in getting excited. We are what we are, a popular franchise with a world class PR that will not win anything of consequence because of the person who owns the franchise.

Even our PR guy has given up.

That's OK, it wouldn't be enough to keep McCarthy around as head coach. I think a combination of Payton running the offense with Quinn running the defense would put us in a much better place for 2023.

Remember when Cowboys fans had pride and knew that we were going to beat teams just because we we better?

That's been reduced to "fans" just hoping everyone we play is bad. Watching them celebrate Brady's retirement and hoping Rodgers go to the AFC so the competition is much weaker is disgusting.

This fanbase has fallen so far and is full of loser mentalities.

Whether you like it or not this will not be an offseason of change other than the changes they have to make because of the salary cap and the possibility of losing Kellen Moore. They're not in the change mindset. They want to bring this band back together as much as possible for another tour. They're convinced they underachieved this year.

I kindly direct you to the Senior Bowl interviews of Jerry and Stephen if you disagree. They are not poker players. They're telling you what they really think and change isn't in their thinking.

The only change will be change forced upon them.

And you won't have a transcendent rookie to add to the mix next year to move the needle. I don't like to talk in absolutes but that may have been once in a lifetime. You don't even have a full slate of draft picks.

It's an offseason of great addition for the Giants, Eagles, and to a lesser extent, the Badwords of Washington. It's an offseason of minimizing losses for the Cowboys.

I cannot wait until next season. It already feels different.
Are you really saying that missing a 7th round pick is going to cripple our draft lol?

I will take our chances at finding yet another pro bowler in this draft.

We didn't even get our comp picks yet...

They have convinced themselves (with the help of the media), that their drafting is elite, that "their" guys are elite, therefore they prioritize signing their own guys who are usually overrated due the Boys never-ending hype train. Can't wait till 6-sack Gregory gets his big deal this offseason.

The DC are like that girlfriend that used to love to go skiing, fishing, camping, drink a warm beer before noon, orders chicken fried steak, plays pool, digs Led Zeppelin, can recite the members of the Doomsday D and will go skinny dipping in the lake.
You marry her and now she shops at all the malls, drives an Audi, gets her hair "done" once a week, orders kale salads, watches chick flicks, doesn't know the name of our first round draft choice, goes to yoga parties that end at 8:30pm, glued to Face book and any other app on her phone.
I would say this team needs a serious reality check, but who would that come from?

Last few season I have seen some very good talent brought in and I expect no difference this season. I think we takes some loses in FA but I think McClay will bring in good talent to compete. As for any kind of Boycott? if I get to that point then I'm not going to bother to watch the Cowboys period. Until then I choose to back and support the team anyone who chooses to do otherwise that is their choice.

Unless the draft class is just another home run, the reality is this team will likely be less talented than the 2021 version.

They will lose guys in FA and they have to trim fat just to get back under the cap. They may have to go even more stupid and restructure a guy like Elliott.

What a disaster.

sadly, I am prepared.

It's going to take a lot for me to fool myself again in the offseason. I'll need a heavy dose of camp reports about how all are players are awesome.

The division should be significantly better next year.

Philadelphia alone was markedly better than anyone had anticipated, and that was despite having a young, inexperienced quarterback and head coach. And if anyone remembers correctly, that head coach was undermining his own team running a pass-happy offense. Once they started running the football, they were a much-improved team. Washington lost their projected starting quarterback at the very beginning of the season too. That's unlikely to occur again. And the Giants were a trainwreck last season, starting with the head coach. Competence from their new staff would be an improvement.

See.....Payton is the ONLY dude out there I can see that may actually get through to these two, as far as how they do things are detrimental.

Really, just shutting up alone would take care of a nice portion of things.....but they refuse....or can't see it.

Not clipping the coaches wings would help as well.

The part thats so frustrating is I really do think we have had some teams that were very capable and wasted because of Jerry's desire to have puppet coaching and be the face of the franchise.

Stop buying. Watch. Hope they win. But stop purchasing Cowboys stuff.

This is my outlook. Make the monetary support for Dallas go away. This is the only way we get Jed Clampant out of the GM role.

As long as the owner is the GM we will not win a Superbowl.
