Another offseason of Dak Prescott my Dallas Cowboys starting QB.

After all the hoopla and chest thumping was done, we found an empty treasure chest.Whether you like it or not this will not be an offseason of change other than the changes they have to make because of the salary cap and the possibility of losing Kellen Moore. They're not in the change mindset. They want to bring this band back together as much as possible for another tour. They're convinced they underachieved this year.
I kindly direct you to the Senior Bowl interviews of Jerry and Stephen if you disagree. They are not poker players. They're telling you what they really think and change isn't in their thinking.
The only change will be change forced upon them.
And you won't have a transcendent rookie to add to the mix next year to move the needle. I don't like to talk in absolutes but that may have been once in a lifetime. You don't even have a full slate of draft picks.
It's an offseason of great addition for the Giants, Eagles, and to a lesser extent, the Badwords of Washington. It's an offseason of minimizing losses for the Cowboys.
I cannot wait until next season. It already feels different.
If you take a station wagon full of kids on a cross country ride, and the kids spent the whole ride saying your car is crap, you’re an idiot and a bad driver, fighting with each other, burping and farting and throwing trash, how would you react? Think it might get old? If someone’s constantly voicing their displeasure and complaining, couldn’t that be called “miserable”? That’s the problem these days. People willingly stand in poop all day, then act outraged if someone dares to mention a funky odor. Why call them miserable? You're saying people who don't see it as you do are miserable. If their opinions, "get kinda old," then just skip over them. Don't engage. Believe me, there's plenty of people around here not worth arguing with on every side of every debate.
Sniping at others and calling them, "miserable," is just as annoying to some as the, "enlightened realists," are to you.

For the last time (because frankly, this is getting old), all I’m saying is that doom and gloom bores me. I prefer to look forward and speculate on the possibilities. I think this team can get better if they do certain things, but if not, I’ll still enjoy myself.

Very true. All you have to do is listen to Jerry. He thinks this is a superbowl team and he going to try the same thing next season. It will be the same results and he will blame his puppet coach and eventually fire his puppet coach and hire a new puppet coach. Then he will sell his Kool-Aid to the fans and talk about going to the superbowl.Whether you like it or not this will not be an offseason of change other than the changes they have to make because of the salary cap and the possibility of losing Kellen Moore. Cool story.
So yeah. Like I said earlier, just skip over it.
You realize you're the kids in the analogy, right? You're jumping into conversations that you say are boring... so you can say they're boring and call the people having them miserable.
Yeah, it IS a cool story. Viable reply!
But seriously, I’m saying endless complaints about the Cowboys being the worst and doomed to failure are boring.
The word “miserable” sure seems like a trigger for you. Did I hit a sore spot?
I understand being critical of your team when they underperform, especially when they lose a playoff game they SHOULD have won, but the nonstop handwringing has to stop at some point, right?
This whole topic has gotten old, so I’m gonna call it quits. I’ve established my opinion, and it’s not gonna change, so have the last word if you need it.
Glad you thought so.
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
I'm just enthralled by your new and exciting hot take. I'm more used to all that boring stuff you talked about.
You think you're going to stop it? That's the cutest thing I've read in a while.
I'll just try to sum up- whining about whining is just sharing. People who think the team suck should stay quiet otherwise they're miserable. When your team sucks it's best to lie to yourself or stop watching. Did I get that right?
That's really great stuff. Maybe next time start a thread about it. Better yet, you could get behind a paywall. I don't feel right getting this kind of hot take for free.
I’m prepared. Until the words “Jones steps down as GM” are uttered….I’m totally prepared. Hoping I live long enough to see a change.
So you DO need it!
I rest my case.
What choices do we have with our dysfunctional ownership. They’ve lowered the bar.Remember when Cowboys fans had pride and knew that we were going to beat teams just because we we better?
That's been reduced to "fans" just hoping everyone we play is bad. Watching them celebrate Brady's retirement and hoping Rodgers go to the AFC so the competition is much weaker is disgusting.
This fanbase has fallen so far and is full of loser mentalities.
