Ok, I hate to break everyone away from their regularly scheduled Dak bashing, but I just watched this and it is amazing.

Here is Zeke's 2021 highlights. I was actually SHOCKED at how great he looked in the first 5 games (even though he didn't have a highlight vs Tampa). He looked as quck and agile as I have seen him probably since his rookie year. All of that offseason work that he did actually paid off.

Then around the MN or the Dak coming back game, you can see the dropoff. Highlights turn into 2 yard tds and plodding runs. The injury definitely changed him and the entire offense (as I have been saying probably since around when this started happening).

Anyone can see the dropoff. Unfortunately, even though he is obviously injured, this is not much worse than he was the previous two years.

I am hopeful that with an offseason of rehab and more work we can see the Zeke like the first 5 weeks, otherwise, he needs to be a backup.

It was extremely obvious something was wrong with him after that pats or vikings game. Had he been healthy he probably breaks 1400 yards. I honestly wished we would have just rested him. I think we would have probably gotten better production out of Pollard and then that would have created a stir asking why we're paying Zeke so much if we can just run with Pollard. Hence why he kept playing probably.

Yes exactly. It is sad they put him through this.

He would have had his best season since his rookie year if he didn't get injured. Who knows what this team does as well.

It's well documented that Zeke didn't not want to be benched to nurse his injury. At some point even the medical staff indicated he could do no worse playing with the injury. Nevertheless they did cut the number of Zeke's plays in games. Injury aside at this stage of his RB career he will wear down quickly over the course of a season. Zeke should be used situationally game starting or relieving wise.

And please keep in mind when you read the propaganda from our zombie fans, Zeke had his 2nd most productive game of the season a week after the injury.
Which is strange.

Right after that Giants game...plunged into the abyss.

He must have hurt it further in that game or something.

I believe that he'll be great and lead the league in rushing.

I also believe in unicorns and the magic of Rowdy.

Did you see the play he made at the end of the vikings game. He caught a short pass from Rush and split the defenders and for a second I thought he was gonna take it the 5 yards into the end zone but picked up the first down and was tackled the same way Dak was when his leg broke. He was lucky his leg wasn’t broke. The next game he was tackled in the end zone and his ankle was twisted completely sideways on the ground and the defenders knee came down right on it. He was towards the back of end zone and defender did not need to tackle him, but he did anyways. He tore something in his knee and shouldn’t been playing but Pollard was injured also and they wanted to use Elliot for pass protection because our O-Line couldn’t block..

Didn't he play on a torn PCL..plus wearing the brace...if it was that bad...he should be having surgery to fix it...

The first injury came against Carolina when he fell on the pylon on the sideline.

My problem is we never brought anyone else in to help. They won’t use Pollard because he can’t block and Clement was just a spare.

Regardless they need to draft a new back in the mid rounds. Pollard and Zeke will be gone after 2022 season IMO.

So if they player is too hurt to be effective, why don’t they just admit he is hurt and someone else plays ? Don’t other teams have players get injured and taken out of the lineup ?

Zeke cannot play close to the rookie Zeke player. Injuries induced by age and carries will continue to plague him. Time to move on if the cap would allow it. Certainly, time to draft a RB this year.

There is no doubt he was injured. They should have had a plan B to get him rested. Jerry is the likely reason for keeping him on the field.

So I have question. If he's not going to get surgery on the torn PCL, won't he be partially hobbled going forward? I know it's not a super important ligament, but if it effects how he runs I'd rather he just repair it

Which makes it really really sad if we are basing our decisions on public perception.

If he isnt a prime example that salary dictates playing time in Dallas, I dont know what is.

I guess the counter point could be that he is the only one of our skill players (besides maybe Brown) that has a clue as far as blocking....

But not getting the ball to Pollard more, especially in the playoff game, was criminal.

What's worse is the structure of the contract made it impossible to do a Jaylon Smith with him.

Jerry usually caves and gets creamed in player contract talks, but even accounting for that....I'm still a little surprised he got beat SO badly on the Elliott deal.

Not many players have a structure where it's impossible and/or very hurtful to the team to cut them within FOUR entire years.

And 60 million guaranteed to a running back who already had a ton of miles on him??

But he was grasping at straws trying to save his pet project Garrett.

Daks 40 million is a problem, but dollar for dollar, it's better than the 12-15 Ezekiel Elliott is stealing.

It's really shameful because he is a HOF type talent, but he won't as much as come close. Not even close to close.

That would really eat away at anyone with any real heart, desire and pride.

It's more about money and social media for him....as well as being the football star that he actually isn't and never earned.
